This stuff is hands down THE BEST tasting protein water that I've had. Ever! I've tried pretty much everything on the market to get my protein in. I've had gastric sleeve surgery, so it's important to get my daily protein intake. This helps me tremendously! It's great tasting (I've had mixed berry and grape) and it doesn't have an after taste. If you've ever struggled with nasty shakes, stop buying them and try this! You won't regret it!

I have a family member who is in ESRD (kidney failure/dialysis) and he has to supplement protein because of the dialysis. The care center gave him Liquacel Concentrated Liquid Protein Packets Peach Mango (also available on Amazon). Long story short, nasty taste/upset stomach (probably from the arginine in it) left him seeking alternatives.

We were purchasing the Atkins LIFT protein drinks locally, but when the store discontinued this item, I found the Protein2o and ordered the MIXED VARIETY for him from Amazon.

Hands down, he LOVES the coconut!

We couldn’t find the nutritional facts for potassium & phosphorus - which are a big No/No for folks on dialysis - so, I wrote the company to inquire about them. They replied within 24 hours by sending me a pdf including labeling for all their products (5 stars for SUPER customer service!)

I have condensed the nutrition facts in the photo posted with my review.

The company did reply the cherry flavor might be suitable for our needs, with only 10 mg potassium and 13 mg of phosphorus, so we will order the CHERRY and give it a try. Overall, the taste of each flavor in the mixed variety is slightly sweet, but “nice on ice” or just add a little water to it.

Overall, I gave Protein2o 5 stars for excellent taste & customer service, 3 stars for overall higher sodium & phosphorus content (phosphorus can leech calcium from your bones). I would LOVE to see a switch from sucralose to stevia (have not found ANY comparable drinks that use stevia yet). Overall Rating: 4 stars.

While this drink was not specifically designed for dialysis patients, the CHERRY flavor does offer hope of a more pleasant tasting option than other drinks. Protein2o is also one of the least expensive protein drink options of its type on Amazon.

...at the time of this review:

Protein2o - 12 bottles - $24
Optimum Nutrition - 12 bottles - $34
Atkins Lift - 12 bottles - $33
Atkins Lift - 12 packets - $28
LiquaCel - 30 packets - $43

UPDATE - Customer Service confirmed the potassium on these labels should read MG (milligrams) and not G (grams) and will be updating them!

UPDATE - I also received a response from customer service saying -
"you will be happy to hear that we are actually launching a line of naturally-sweetened Protein2o flavors (3 flavors) that are sweetened with a blend of Stevia and pure cane sugar. We plan to launch these new flavors in the coming 2-3 months."

YAHOOooooooo!!! Okay... I see a five star rating for that product coming up on the horizon... lol! :)

I did not know what to expect from protein water. I'm used to protein meal replacements but was wary of water. Totally impressed with the flavor and consistency. It tastes like you're drinking a dessert drink or pina colada. I've only tried the Tropical Coconut flavor but would be willing to try other flavors.

I had bariatric surgery last year. We need to consume a lot of protein. I hate the shakes. The Protein2O are great ! they're not overly sweet (compare to Pure Proteins protein waters) and they are higher in protein 15g than even most shakes. And I think about the cheapest - at least on Amazon. I live in rural VT so have difficulty finding anything like this locally. I have been buying by subscription, four cases of these (one each: Berry, Grape, Cherry, Coconut) per month for the past year and a half. I have generally been very satisfied with these. They're not overly sweet, I don't think they're at all thick and only on rare occasion, if you don't shake it, might you see some of the isolate separate from the 'water'. The only thing I would warn, is they say to refrigerate after opening. Abide by this - I left an opened bottle in the car overnight and it smelled funky (as in bad) the next morning.
I only rated these 4 instead of 5 stars because I received my monthly shipment and the grape are really watered down this time. The whole case. They are almost undrinkable. I am only drinking them because I didn't want to throw them out. Earlier this year I decided to try some new flavors - they had a variety pack of some other flavors (Peach Mango, Blueberry Pom, Dragonfruit) but these are only 10g protein - I tried them. these were all watered down too. So now I am concerned that Protein2O is changing their formula. I hope not. That's two cases of drinks I was unhappy with. I would hate if they changed the formula because the next cheapest (and drinkable) brand is the Pure Protein and those are a lot sweeter than Protein2O and almost 30% more expensive. When I am buying 4 cases a month, that adds up.
Note to Protein2O - if you change your formulas to make them so watery tasting, you're going to lose an otherwise loyal customer.

Great taste and so much lighter than some other protein drinks...no thick, syrupy texture or sweetener aftertaste. After my gastric sleeve these have been the only way I can really get my protein in...others are just too heavy.

Pleasantly surprised by these drinks! A very nice fruity flavor. The flavor is not weak like a typical sports drink, nor is it pungent or overbearing. Very pleasant, not chalky. A great way to get some protein without a bunch of calories or carbs along side of it.
Will continue purchasing.

This is the best tasting "protein" water out there in my opinion. I have only tried the peach mango and the grape and the grape is amazing, the peach is ok. I don't think I am a peach gal. I get my water and my protein, so it is a win-win.

Awesome. I drink this after working out. What a blast. It tastes so good and is healthy. I love it . I will reorder and make it a stable in my life.

All three flavors in this pack are delicious enough to buy again, but the one with the least mouth-film feel at the very end is definitely the grape. I not only tolerate, but enjoy the taste of all three flavors, for the money and protein quantity, this is a very good value. (It's still super-expensive to me, but I am getting used to allocating funds for beverages when they provide protein.) I am trying to find protein sources I can tolerate for liquid pre/post op diet coming up. You cannot simply add unflavored protein to water and expect it to not taste like curdled milk, unfortunately, so I had to find something. I cannot tolerate a lot of the products on the market to suit these needs. The tropical coconut flavor is mildly syrupy, unfortunately, but it does taste fine to me. I am a fan of a pina colada and these really do taste too indulgent to be diet. The grape tastes like any normal "artificial" grape drink you've enjoyed in your life, so keep that in mind. I like that particular taste and so does my son. So he is enjoying some of these too. In fact, he loves them all! Mixed Berry is most neutral and delicious in the fact that it has the least amount of aftertaste/film. I do not like sucralose products, I prefer to drink straight water, especially post-workout, etc. However, as I am seeing a nutritionist, I am learning about the benefits of both post-work out. I will level with you, 15g of protein does not fill me up when I am genuinely hungry. I probably need 40g of protein to do that. However, what I enjoy is being able to eat much smaller meals, like a side salad and pair this with it and expect that I will be sated. I can also take these on the go in my gym bag, after a big swim that makes me want to eat the pool, these curb me until dinnertime. I take them when I am at risk for eating garbage on the go. I hope that after surgery 15g of protein feels like more to me on its own. I know if I ate this and a protein bar as a meal replacement, I am fine. But watch the sugar/carb/cal content on those, because too many are too high to be healthy at all. Really, for the calories, carbs, protein content and TASTE, you won't find anything out there that isn't double the calories and the price. I have not tried the stevia options, which I am excited to do, but I suggest you keep in mind those only have 10g of protein! Also, like all whey products, you're going to want to refrigerate at least after opening. I have found a few of these at Wal-Mart recently, am feeling confident I will get through surgery recovery now that I have finally found something I like to drink. Will absolutely reorder, as I am thinking of going on auto delivery. I also find I dillute these often, to try and make myself boost my actual water content, but also the flavor stays strong.

I have been drinking protein drinks for years so I have tried just about everything out there. This is one of the best protein drinks I have ever had. Every clear protein drink I have ever had does have this protein residue that is normal, (people are referring to it as a gritty texture) but this drink has almost none and that is NICE! The berry flavor is great tasting. Personally I like the ATKINS berry flavor better than this berry flavor but the lack of protein residue makes up for it. Less expensive than ATKINS too. I'll have to try some of the other flavors, because I like to have a little variety. I have added this to my subscription so I can get it every month.Protein2o Low-Calorie Protein Infused Water, 15g Whey Protein Isolate, Mixed Berry (16.9 Ounce, Pack of 12)
