I have screen protectors on all my devices so I naturally added one to my Kindle as well. It does improve daylight reading for me. But the installation is tough. Practice several times to make sure you get the fit correct before actually doing the installation. Otherwise you'll spend several days rubbing out air bubbles(like me).
Cuts down glare, keeps screen clean of smudges and very easy to apply.
It certainly wasn't easy to put on. Fortunately, they give you 2, so was able to take the first off and get the other one on straight. It does a good job protecting the screen.

Nice new generation... since I owned another kindle the registration was automatic... longer term battery life is a real plus.
We like this screen protector because we don't even notice it! We are older readers with more sensitivity to glare than we used to have.
The plastic screen protector works as a screen protector and does not add glare (which my last one did) but it is an expensive piece of plastic to protect the screen. It doesn't seem to make the screen any harder to read nor does it improve reading on the Kindle.
Works well on glare and protecting screen from scratches.
