Small but nice for my family of 5
We've been using this freezer chest for several months now, and a couple of observations:
- It works as advertised, with no regrets or concerns
- It holds temperature well (measured with a digital thermometer placed inside)
- The dial-range adjustment is extreme, so I would recommend one purchases a separate thermometer and place it inside. That will allow you to accurately adjust for your desired temperature.
- The aluminum-lined insulated interior is not meant to withstand the weight of normal-weight-range Thanksgiving turkeys, so either pick another storage location, or place them more genitally then I had done. Yes, I've slightly dented the inside of the unit, but not so much to impact it's capability.
No regrets, as it allows me to store 3 LARGE turkey's purchased at low-cost during Thanksgiving, for later cooking and enjoyment for another 11 months. Wow!
Lastly, my electric bill has not seen any huge spike, so while I can't speak to a specific utility usage, it appears very efficient to me.
Super freezer for the price was not bad to get out of the double boxes and styrofoam and plug in. Gets super cold quick! Thermometer in photos sold separately here. Big freezer can't wait to fill it up with ice cream and meat and frozen dinners! My refrigerator freezer is tiny and I always wanted a chest freezer this is affordable and nice quality.
This is an amazing "little" chest freezer best bang for the buck especially through Amazon!!! Runs very quiet, feels well built on most parts. Midea's packaging is the ONLY issue for me. I had several puncture holes that dented the freezer body. I knew from other reviewers that this would be a risk, my unit was shipped from the Midwest hence it took some abuse and that is partially the issue here. Midea double boxes the units however not strong enough, perhaps a strong stretch warp could help prevent damage, I took a star off for inadequate merchant packaging.
Anyway this is a great freezer and you can blindly buy it, just keep your fingers crossed it will arrive in brand new condition.
The freezer arrived in perfect condition, despite obvious bangs and tears to the shipping container which worried me when I read other reviews. It cooled down immediately and has been keeping everything inside frozen solid since being plugged in shortly after being unpacked. It runs silently and gives off no heat whatsoever. The size I bought is almost too large for me, a single person, but the size smaller would have probably been too small. This freezer now enables me to purchase more frozen foods and meats on sale that I used to have to avoid because I did not have the room in the refrigerator freezer. This is a wonderful freezer!

The freezer was delivered before the expected time of arrival. It came well packaged & protected with no damage. It's been a great solution to storing baby's breastmilk & homemade purees separately from the family's goods, to avoid contamination/deterioration.
Like the drawer inside, which slides & can be used to hold other items within reach. Just note that the freezer compartment isn't too deep that you need to dig deep to get stuff out & I'm 5'2. The shape isn't a perfect rectangle, but doesn't steal much of the storage capacity.
Overall, have been using it for over a week & am very happy with it. Will see how it holds up over time & if it's as easy to clean the frost (if it builds up) as indicated.
I purchased this to store breast milk and it works great!! Fits 4 bags across and 4 bags tall to give you an idea of the size. I can easily store 2500 ounces in this freezer.
Great light weight, good size freezer. No frills but perfect if you need extra freezer space for your monthly trip to your warehouse store.
A lot of frost build up. Can't use the basket that comes with it because it prevents from sealing properly and you get a lot of ice around it. But it's fine for a 2nd freezer for the garage.
Product arrived on time with no damage. We have been happy with this chest freezer, we put it in our TV room and so far no loud noise.
