We used over 12 different shampoos for our toddler and this was the best. Not only it doesn't have a strong smell to it, but it does its job detangling her hair. She still has problem with dry hair though, I think I just need to apply coconut oil before washing her hair. I think that could be because she hates the taste of drinking water and she also developed fear of water because she almost drowned in a swimming pool 😠fragrance is something we try to avoid, but the sweet smell of coconut wasn't that bad for us. I can have breathing issues with strong fragrance smell, but not with this one!
This is a great alternative to the commonly available 2 in 1 shampoo products for kids. My kids all have sensitive skin and break out in a rash from most of the kid shampoos you can buy at the grocery store. This shampoo doesn't cause any reaction, has any amazing scent and makes my kids hair super soft. The price is also very reasonable for an all natural kids shampoo.
really like this very natural product...I am an adult but usually kid shampoos are all that meet my requirements for not having bad stuff
usually shampoos that are this natural leave your hair greasy, but this is not the case...this is the only natural shampoo that does not leave my hair greasy and I can even wash my hair every other day which i have never been able to do before
I love the smell of this shampoo and the fact that it's shampoo-conditioner in one. My daughter has thick hair and she's only 2 years old, I didn't want to get her conditioner yet, so I'm glad I found this product, free of toxins! I also use it for my son, he has a lot of hair!! My only complain was the poor packing. When I received the item it was open and missing more than a quarter of the product, which did hurt me considering the price haha... I reached out to the company right away, via email, but I never heard back from them. I'll probably buy the product again anyway.
To my fellow moms out there with kiddos that flip a lid whenever they see a shampoo bottle coming their way, Fresh Monster shampoo is wonderful. The test subject for this product is my 4 year old son who loves bath time but hates it when the bubbles from shampoo gets into his eyes. I ordered this product specifically because it's tear free and because he wanted something that wasn't for babies. When my little monster saw the monster on the bottle he thought it was "so cute". So far this shampoo has been a hit. He's even shampooing his own hair willingly now! (Happy Dance) To say the least, I have been very happy with this product.

I wish I bought this 4 years ago! My four year old has extremely fine hair. She screens and crys ever time I brush it. I’ve tried every shampoo and started putting conditioner in her hair to help the tangles. She still wines and cried that I was hurting her when I brushed her hair. It’s important to me that her shampoo doesn’t have toxins so when I saw this I decided to try it. OMG, it’s amazing! No tangles whatsoever!! Even 24 hours after washing my daughters hair, there are no tangles when I brush it. Just silky smooth hair! My daughter LOVES this shampoo. I just wish I knew about it 4 years ago!
Smells great! My 3 year old and I always go, "what does it smell like?" "Watermelon!!" so fun. 2 pumps are more than enough for him and he has lots of curly hair. It doesn't sting his eyes, which is a must. Bubbles don't linger when you rinse it out, which is also great. Will buy again :)
My son and I really like this shampoo. It's nice because even though it's sulfate-free, it does lather. I personally like the smell of the watermelon one better, but to each their own. It's nice to have a junk-free shampoo that isn't super expensive!

Preface: I take a "chemical free" lifestyle very, very seriously, especially with my children. So many products market themselves as safe, non-toxic, etc. but when you actually look at the ingredients, they still have harmful chemicals in them. And yes, I understand even water is a chemical, but what I'm describing is unnecessary chemicals/ingredients that are good for the manufacturer but bad for your family.
Anyway, I was using the Earth Mama Angel Baby shampoo/body-wash for the first 7 months of my son's life because of all the great reviews. I didn't research too much into other brands since I thought they were supposed to be the best. Well, the product isn't very good. I know when you use less ugly ingredients it's harder to get a good clean, and it's harder to get a good lather, but c'mon now, you can't wash hair without SOME lather! Also, once he started to sit up in the tub and the shampoo started to run down his face while rinsing, he was crying big time - I do not think it is a tear free design. Finally I decided there had to be something better that got the job done, smelled decent and was safe.
IN COMES THE MONSTER
I'm soooo glad I found Fresh Monster! Lovely company that cares about providing safe products for our children to use on their hair and skin. Coconut is my favorite for everything so the smell is light and just gives off a very clean smell. Finally, it actually lathers beautifully!! So easy, so gentle.
It isn't marketed as tear-free (I don't think?) but I saw some people say it was. I'm a little on the fence with that. While he doesn't cry like he did with the EMAB, he does rub his eyes a little after I rinse his hair and it gets in his eyes. Note - he doesn't rub his eyes when it's pure water going down his face. He doesn't scream/cry so that's definitely a bonus.
And the price is really not bad at all for a non-toxic product. Less than $10? Yes, yes, yes!
I have a kid with allergies and very sensitive skin and after trying every product I was recommended I stumbled to this shampoo. Since then the dry skin (flakes) subsided and his hear looks clean and he is not scratching his head all the time. So I am happy I found this shampoo that is working for my boy 😊
