Take the punch out of the box, remove two clips that hold down the lever for shipping and you are ready to go. Punches holes with minimal effort and looks great. The holes are cleanly cut and there is a paper alignment on one end so every time you punch the holes will be in the same place. I like having papers in my binder line up so this is a big plus.

Also comes with a lifetime warranty so no need to ever purchase another punch.

Great hole punch except for one problem. There is no guide to align the paper. If you plan to put your punched paper into a binder the pages won't align with each other. Good punches usually have a moveable guide that you can move up and down so all hole punches are property aligned. A 'work around' for this punch is slightly fold your paper you are about to punch with a crease at the half-way point on the edge you will be putting into the punch. Align the crease with the center black guide, then punch. All you sheets will be identically punched.

The hole puncher was confusing at first. It turns out you have to push paper to the left, which has a small edge to place it against. So, that centers the paper to punch holes in it.

Works great! You're limited to pretty small stacks of paper, but that's to be expected. There's plenty of leverage, so even with my tendonitis I don't find it difficult to cut through paper. The holding compartment is pretty easy to take off; just make sure you're careful so you don't flip paper bits all over the place.

I just created my home office and needed to buy a lot of items. I purchased this based on the reviews and the great price point. I also based it on my memory of Bostich products from my college days (I still have my old Bostich staplers)...this hole punch was every bit as sturdy and well made as they used to be (unlike so many other brand names) It even punched more than the recommended 12 sheet limit :)

This hole punch cuts through paper like a warm knife through butter. It is made with all-metal construction, except for the plastic tray on the bottom which is used to store the punched holes. There is a nice metal stopper on the end of the hole punch as well so you get even cuts every time. This design makes it easy to remove and clean. I was easily able to cut through the recommended 12-page limit. You can probably squeeze in another sheet or two, to be honest. I would purchase again, but I am confident this one will last me a long time.

Awesome hole punch! I needed something for my home office and this punch is perfect. It does up to 12 sheets with no issues and minimal effort. It's super easy to align the papers into the punch and the chip tray is removable for easy disposal of the punched paper. My only complaint is that I wish it would come in different colors!! Overall nice job Bostitch!

This one is definitely a keeper for me, it works great, looks beautiful, and I don't use it on more than just a few pages at once. A sure winner for those who prefer their office look sleek and fun. But 12 pages claim is a bit of a stretch. It barely fits them in. And it does the punching job but not without a certain effort (and I am a metalsmith, using my arm muscles is not something I shy away from). You can effortlessly punch through about 8 pages (depending on the paper thickness). So, if you only need it for light jobs, it is awesome. Otherwise, get a heavier duty one.

Works well and snaps back. I did get it stuck once because I punched out some soft plastic that jammed it. I just took a skinny screw driver and gave it a little hit with a small hammer.

This is a heavy duty 3 hole punch. I use it to punch holes in plastic sleeves. I trim off the built in holes of the sleeves so the pages will reveal the labels, so I have to repunch then all. With papers inside the sleeves, I can fit 4-5 at a time, which is great becasue the sleeves are thicker than paper. The puncher is lightweight and easy to use. I dropped a star only because I don't like the holding chamber for the scraps, but that isn't just this one, it's all punchers.
