There are mixed reviews for these earring backings, but they are honestly great. I'm a jewelry designer on Etsy and I've bought these at least half a dozen times to use for my earrings, and they're interchangeable with earrings I've bought other places too. Yes, they're small, but honestly they look great and are less noticeable that way. They provide a snug fit, because who wants their earrings falling out, and they're 100% sterling silver, and my sensitive ears have never gotten irritated. These are a great find.
I wear multiple stud earrings in my ear. And those of you that do, know how much it sucks to wear studs with crazy big backs. I lose my backs all of the time. So I purchased these to replace my lost ones. The main thing I love about these is that they are small. They fit the post perfectly but the actual size of the back is small. Which means more comfortable sleeping and less chance of knocking them off the post. I'd give these ten stars if I could.

However, just remember that the product is sterling silver and has not been plated with other metals such as Rhodium or Platinum so the earring back will tarnish over time; especially when constantly exposed to skin oils/sweat, everyday air pollutants, lotions/soaps/shampoos.
To prevent premature tarnishing wipe clean with a soft cloth and tightly seal in a plastic baggie or anti-tarnish storage box when not in use.
If tarnish occurs you can clean your sterling silver jewelry with sterling silver cleaner; however, for those who are interested in a more natural/ecofriendly/less toxic cleaning solution simply line a quart sized bowl with aluminum foil, fill with purified (bottled) hot (not boiling or scalding) water, add one (1) tablespoon of Arm & Hammer washing powder/soda (not liquid & without bleach) and stir. Dip your sterling silver jewelry in the solution for up to one (1) minute, remove, rinse clean with purified (bottled) water and allow to air dry. Return all unworn sterling silver jewelry to its tightly sealed plastic baggie or anti-tarnish storage box.
As other reviews have mentioned, these earring backs are small...VERY small, but I actually like that about them. They are great and I have not had any issues with them fitting any of the earrings that required backs. If you do not mind the small size, go for it.
First off these are for thinner posts. I bought a group of small silver balls for my 2nd holes (top). I love the small size. I am constantly losing my backs when my hair gets wrapped around them or towel pulls them off. My backs are not interchangeable because most posts are bigger. These totally fit perfectly and actually fit tighter than the originals. I love them!!! They are real silver and I only take my top earrings out for cleaning maybe one every 2 months or so.

Very awesome earring backs. I purchased because I was distraught after having lost the back of one of my pearl earrings. These were a perfect replacement and actually hang on to my earring even tighter than the original backs, which means they slip less. Definitely worth the purchase.
Yes, these are smaller backs as some reviewers have mentioned, but I've had no problem using them to replace all the backs that I've lost. In fact, sometimes when I try to swap out backs, I've found the holes in others are too large and these were the perfect size! The wings to the backs can be adjusted if needed. I liked the smaller size as well for my second hole piercings which tend to be a little more visible. Great product!
