Be Amazing Geyser Tube

Be Amazing Geyser Tube

a little pricey but soooo worth it. I had to show my 10 year old the joys of Mentos and diet cola. Since diet doesn't have sugar it wont make your sidewalk all sticky or become a giant ant magnet. I suggest that this be sold in pairs or a 6 pack - get all the kids in the area in on it. One note of warning - sparkling water with food coloring is cooler BUT just make sure that it's your kid in old cloths on the trigger here. Or, choose the kid of the neighbor you don't like and don't mind not talking to for the next few months. Enjoy!

My 10 year old daughter had a science fair project to do. She decided to do the quintessential Mentos and soda explosion. Daddy agreed to help with the messy part outside. Those geysers are huge! Lol!

I bought this item to help teach my daughter about science experiment controls. It made her happy because it made the project seem more professional.

The candy dropper worked exactly as it is described. We were well pleased. She was able to insert the candy, slide the lever and run. The suggestions for turning the geyser from just a trick into a science fair experiment were included on the Steve Spangler website in a well done way with explanations and videos, etc. That was much appreciated!

This works as advertised - however be careful when pulling the string and pin. You have to pull the string so the pin comes straight out - very little up or down movement or the bottle will fall over. If you have a child pull the string (and they will want to!) make sure they pull it straight out.

My 11-year-old daughter tried to pull it from an angle - then she panicked to get away as the bottle fell over and she ended up tripping and hurting her hand a little - this is NO FAULT of the product, but be aware that children are thinking more of the result than the correct method of pulling the string. The bottle falling over doesn't make as exciting a geyser when put back upright, and extra bottles of coke aren't a dime a dozen, so make sure the child knows how to pull the string properly.

My tube works, but I don't really want to bang the tube around too much - I'm unsure how sturdy it is. I wouldn't put it in a bag where it can rattle around.

ADDING: If you're taking these to a demonstration and leave these in a hot car, let them cool down (or cool them) first. The bottoms will expand a little bit wider than the bottle opening, making putting them into the bottle possible, but a fight.

This has added loads of fun to our household. My son has recently become a science fanatic and he is loving these new tools to help him make his science experiences successful. Of course I am wasting a 2 liter of diet coke every time we use it but for all of the laughs and giggles from him it is well worth it. Tons of fun for us all

We got a few of these for my son's science birthday party. It was so much fun to try different mentos and soda combinations. These tubes made it easy to get the mentos in the coke and the kids absolutely loved it. What a fun way to end our slate of experiments!

Description

The viral Diet Coke & MENTOS experiment that Steve Spangler invented has matured into this amazing product. Create an amazing geyser (up to 30 feet high!) using the included candy & a bottle of soda.

All the fun of Mentos and Diet Coke, but with a little control and much easier. The kids had a blast with this. There are also directions on the back and a brief explanation of the science behind it. I'll be using this as a science experiment again in the future, just for the fun of it.

Fun activity for the kids. The Mentos that come with the tube were stale and didn't produce the same height as fresh/new Mentos. Use diet name brand soda for the best/tallest geysers.

This is such a fun science experiment to do with children. I love how easy this contraption is for even preschoolers to use. They love pulling the red release and knocking the mentos down and running away.

I always do this at my son’s birthday parties and this made it so much better because we didn’t have any issues losing the mentos! Wish I would’ve found it sooner!

My hubby used these to set off 2 Liter bottles of Diet Soda in the yard. It was A LOT of Fun to watch. This item worked GREAT!
