Arccos Golf 360 Golf Performance Tracking System

The Arccos product is very good overall. I've been using it weekly for the last 9 months so I've had plenty of time with it (98 rounds played).
It has helped me to learn my true distances and easily spot the weaknesses in my game so I can focus on the things hurting my scoring the most.
I've gone from a 14 handicap to a 9.5 while using this product. Now, that's mostly because I've been working hard on my game this year, but having the statistical data that Arccos provides has helped a lot.

Regarding the Caddie function. I used it during the trial period. Before teeing off it gives you a strategy for YOUR estimated best result. It also gives slope adjusted distances. Ultimately I decided not to pay a monthly fee for this service and here is why. During play of the hole it doesn't adjust strategy based on the results of your previous shot. I was hoping this would behave like a caddie would. What I wanted was to be standing at say, 150 yds out, to an elevated green. I was hoping "Caddie" would take my statistical data combined with the slope adjusted distance and suggest a specific club. But it doesn't work like that at all. Just that optimal strategy before you tee off. It does provide slope adjusted distance, which my laser rangefinder already does for me and I don't have to pay for that month after month.

There are a few weaknesses in the product that I'll share:
1. Be aware that these have NON-REPLACEABLE batteries. Which mean in a few years when the batteries die, this product will become a paperweight. When that happens, I'm going to try to disassemble one and see if there is any way to replace the battery (soldering iron maybe?) But Arccos provides no option except to purchase this product all over again, which I think is pretty ridiculous. -- Please read Arccos comments below, they have now introduced a replacement sensor program for $5 per sensor after the warranty period. That's very reasonable I think!

2. You need to keep an eye on the app during the round, it will record phantom shots especially if it's cart path only and your carrying several clubs out to your ball position. I always follow Arccos's recommendation of carrying the clubs upside down and setting them gently on the ground, but the phantom shots still appear from time to time. Sometimes it will also miss some of your putts or detect putts you didn't hit.

3. If you have to take a phone call during the round (sometimes I have to listen in on conference calls while playing) This system WILL NOT register any of your shots except the putter. I don't know why that is, except that the putter sensor is the older style that does have the replaceable battery.

In summary, I really like this product a lot! However, if Arccos doesn't go back to replaceable batteries, I will NOT purchase again. I'm what Arccos calls a "power user" and I hope they read this review and make a good product into a great one!

I received Arccos 360 on Wednesday and put it into play today. Pairing the irons was easy and total time from screwing the sensors into the top of the clubs, selecting the clubs in my bag on the app and pairing them to my Iphone 6S was 5 minutes or so.

When we got to the 1st tee at the course I opened the app, clicked on start round and the course came right up.

After hitting my 1st shot I checked to make sure a shot was detected. It was. I checked various shots every few holes throughout the round. Arccos 360 did not miss a shot. I didn't have any issues with false shots showing up either as I have read about from the 1st version set. Adding gimme putts is easy and adding the dreaded penalty shot (2 shot penalty) was easy too.

Playing with my phone in my front left pocket was a non issue. I was a little leary of it to start, but after a few holes you are used to it being there and don't even think about it when you swing.

A very cool feature I used was the pinpoint GPS. Press on the screen on which ever hole you are on and a white circle pops up. Then drag the circle over any point on the hole and get the exact distances to bunkers, hazards, or directly to the pin. This is a great feature!

I'm sure as I play more rounds and build a database with my stats I will see where I need to improve. After this round Arccos told me my driving was the weakest part of my game. 7 out of 14 fairways isn't that bad, is it? It will be also good to see how far I actually hit each club. I always thought the driver went 260-270. Arccos said my average was 252 yards.

The social link is also neat. I found a friend who has the original Arccos version and am now following him and can see his scores and how he played each round.

I had a great experience with my 1st round with Arccos 360. Looking forward to many more rounds and improving my game!

A current Garmin Fenix 5x user to track all my shots, I purchased this just to see how well it worked. After one round of use, I'm actually very impressed with this. It accurately picked up every tee shot and fairway shot. It only missed one pitch shot from 30 yrds short of the green. There was one hole where I hit a tree 100 yrds from the tee box and dropped straight down. It didn't pick up the 2nd shot. I appears to have no problem with normal location shots(tee box/middle of fairway), but you have a shot outside of a typical location like this, it may or may not realize it's an actual shot. No problems editing in the shot though.

I have a Note 8 with Otterbox defender case and had problems playing with it in my front pocket(Izod golf shorts). I rarely take it out because i used my Garmin Fenix 5x and Bushnell range finder for distances. The wind data was actually the most useful to me.

I'm impressed with this after one round analyzing the data in the app/website compared to my Garmin data. Arccos is more analytical than Garmin. With the Garmin Connect data, I had to go back and enter in EVERY club hit. I actually used Arccos data to determine which club I hit. +1 for Arrcos.

I did not use the putter sensor because I use a Taylormade Spyder putter with Blast sensor. So i had to enter gimmie putts on every hole because it actually showed my score at like -26 after the round.

I'm not a fan of the screw on sensor. I like the built in grip sensor idea but no Golf Pride MCC Align grip options currently. I hate the Lamkin grip you have to use.

Incorporate this with my watch and give me swing data like the Blast sensor and i'll give it a 5 star rating. A few years away from being useful for all golfers.

I really like the idea of this product, and in one round of play, it has been pretty reliable. This is not a set and forget, product, however, there was one hole where it missed two shots (glitch?) and a few tap-in puts that weren't picked up. I think as long as it isn't every hole that this is happening, it's not too frustrating or difficult to add the strokes it misses. The reason I don't give it five starts is for the missing strokes as well as the product showing up with three bad sensors. I managed OK because there are a few clubs in my bag I don't really hit, so I didn't pair them for the time being. I reached out to Arccos via e-mail and heard back within a day and they will ship the new sensors. This is a bit frustrating for me because I bought this and had a friend bring it to me (i'm outside the USA) so now it will take several more weeks to get the replacement sensors and play multiple rounds per week.

Works incredibly well. I’ve had to adjust a couple of putts once in a while, other than that, it’s just brilliant. Bonus, fairly accurate score keeping, the stats and the hole by hole history rocks. Here’s what’s missing: 1. You hit a ball out of bounds but just hit another from the tee and there’s no way for it to know you took a mulligan. That’s no big deal. The key one is in the stats, a number of times you use longer clubs like a 4i to punch out of trouble and back into fairways etc. it will include that short distance in the average club distances also. That sucks, there should be a way to mark and remove ‘creative’ shots from the distances. Oh the biggest negative, there is no way to remove and change batteries, that makes me nervous, if this thing dies before 3 seasons, I’m not getting another one. If it lasts 4, consider me a customer for life. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Description

Arccos 360 is golf's first and only automatic on-course shot-tracking system, allowing golfers of all skill levels to harness the power of their data and AI to play smarter and shoot lower scores. Winner of the 2017 Golf Digest Editor's Choice Award for "Best Game Analyzer," it features 14 ultralight sensors - one for every club in your bag that pair with a smartphone app. And the data doesn't lie: Arccos users improved their handicap by an average of 3.55 strokes in 2017 . USER BENEFITS: Get AI-powered Caddie Advice for every shot, on every hole . Know your exact distance to any point on the course- Learn precisely which club to use in every situation- Identify your actual strengths and weaknesses . SYSTEM FEATURES- Ultralight, low-profile sensors- Battery designed to last 5 year- Power saving mode- Enhanced shot-detection algorithm . Arccos 360 is compatible with iPhone 5S and above, and select Android devices running marshmallow and above that include a Gyroscope and accelerometer. Product usage : Our product requires that the user play golf with their phone in their front pocket and golfers often leave their phone in their cart or bag, or in their back pocket which leads to missed shots. Our system also intentionally deletes a shot if two shots are detected in the same location (to avoid false-positives) but if a user is a poor golfer and hits 2 shots from the same location because they fail to advance the ball beyond 5 yards, they may report a "missed shot", but the product is functioning as expected in those situations

For the most part this works pretty awesome. The only annoying thing is that for the most part the putting distances are not accurate. It's annoying to have to move the flag manually for every hole. Otherwise, the distances and stats are pretty great. Easy to set up and fun to use. Also with an Iphone 8 I find that it only uses about 10% battery for an entire round. This is a relief compared to some reiews complaining about battery usage.

Had some issues with the sensors , 3 of the regular sensors and the putter sensor didn't work right out of the box. Contacted Arcoss and they sent me new sensors free of charge. The replacement putter sensor only worked for 1 round , contacted Arcoss again and they mailed me another putter sensor with an extra battery
Excellent customer service but for the $300 price I shouldn't have any problems with a new product

So far I have been extremely pleased with my experience with Arccos. The synchronization process was very simple and straight forward and through a few rounds of use, Arccos has been almost effortless to use. The information provided is extremely valuable and if there ever was a need for an adjustment or two, the system allowed for easy editing to get things all squared up. I am looking forward to having Arccos all season long to be able to truly dive into my "real" golf stats and see what areas of my game need improvement.

I bought this for my husband, and he loves this. This was a big purchase for me because I didn't know if it would really work or not, but he absolutely loves it. In fact, he loves it so much he ended up buying an apple watch so he could use that while golfing and getting notifications on his watch rather than pulling out his phone after each shot. It provides so much feedback and he's in love with it. Great for the obsessed golfer!

Only 1 round in the books but it worked perfectly. Install and pairing was quick and easy. All shots on the course registered with only a couple tap ins needing to be manually added. iPhone 6S was at 78% battery at end of round and I looked at almost every shot and used the gps so very good battery usage. Can't wait for next round.
