I am in love with these blocks!
I bought them for my daughter who is 1 hoping they could be something she can enjoy for years to come. I'm so glad i went with these and not legos. They are just so much more athstetically pleasing.
They are expensive but i actually don't mind paying more because this company is amazing! They plant 100 trees for every one the cut.
One word of caution though. If you have a dog be sure to keep them out of its reach as they can easily chew them up and expose the embedded magnets putting them and your child in danger. I made this mistake but fortunately the company were quick to respond and even sent me replacement free of charge.
The Tegu blocks are very nice, but they could be better in terms of the number of ways they can be connected.
The largest blocks only have a single magnet in each end for example, so there's no way to connect something along the length.
The magnetic strength is good, but often won't keep pieces from rotating under their own weight, which again slightly limits what you can build with them.
Otherwise they're great, feel and look good, and make a great toy for kids or even ans an "executive desk toy" to give you something to occupy your hands when on the phone or thinking.
The 14 piece set is the best starter set in my opinion. It has enough pieces to do non-trivial things, and it's still a very reasonable price. The slightly cheaper "pocket" sets are cute, and come with a case, but really don't give you enough block combinations. For a bit more you can get this set instead.

These blocks are much more expensive than other magnetic blocks. However, they are amazing!! My son loves them!! The paint is high quality and hasn't chipped in a year of playing with them. All sides are magnetic. Awesome toy!!
I bought this small set for my classroom. I teach preschool at a public school and half of my class is ‘typical’ and half have special needs. These blocks appeal to all my students. I have left them at my discovery table for a few weeks and they are still playing and exploring with them. I might purchase more when they go on sale and I have some extra funds.
These are such great blocks! I love the beautiful colors. They're smooth and weighted perfectly for little hands.
This 14 piece set is a great starter-set. I bought these for my nephews to see if they would play with them. My nephews need some encouragement to be creative and with the aid of the Tegu wheel set my oldest nephew (who's 4) absolutely loved them! The adults played with them just as much as the kids did.
The one thing to note is that the long, rectangular blocks do not have any magnets on the long sides, only on square end. This makes some construction ideas void.
The magnets themselves are great. They are just strong enough to stay firmly in place, but not too weak as to fall apart. They don't snap in place with force which is a great feature to avoid pinched fingers!
If you're looking for some educational, fun and beautiful toys for kids (or adults) then consider these!

Description
Tegu blocks are built to foster curiosity. The mystery of magnets offers an experience that starts with Marvel and joy. The very first "click-clack" of two blocks coming together sparks an instant magical discovery. Simple magnets and blocks become so much more, and boundless play is off and running. Tegu has reinvented the wooden block in a way that brings new life to a favored classic. By safely embedding magnets into each piece, Tegu blocks become curiously attractive for both kids and kids at heart. Defy gravity and push your imagination in ways never before possible. No instruction manuals or electronics; just toys that demand imagination and inspire limitless creativity across all ages. Open-ended play is endangered, but we're bringing it back. Created with beautiful sustainably sourced hardwoods and safe water-based finishes, these blocks have proven wildly addictive for kids (and kids at heart) and will encourage the simple joy of creating for generations. This set includes 14 blocks in five shapes: 2 Medium columns, 4 short planks, 4 long planks, 2 cubes and 2 Parallelograms.
My kids can play with these for hours and hours. I love these so much, I stock up on them when they go on sale and give them as gifts. The wood is sturdy, there is no exposed magnets and the paint has not chipped. Love these and as an adult will sit and play with these too! In comparison to magformers - my kids do enjoy magformers more than these probably because magnets on magformers are a bit stronger but both provide hours of creative fun.
We love these blocks but why this got 4 stars is there doesn't seem to be enough in this size. I'd get the larger 42 block size as it has more to do with. But the blocks and magnets themselves are great. We have a toddler and a puppy, so far neither has destroyed them!
I bought these for my daughter to play with, I thought the magnets were a great idea, and would result in less frustrating block "knock downs", so far they have been great, I think the adults love them just as much as she does!
My 4 year old daughter loves these. They are one of the few toys she can sit and play with for a long time and I love that she will use her imagination with them. We can't wait to add more to our collection.
This is the second set I bought for my 12 year old son. He loved the first 8 piece set and this allows him to have more pieces for creativity. I find that I like to tinker with them time to time... Worth the price!
