Wow, this will definitely be a repeat order in the future for my girlfriends' babies. I mean, the little guy looks cute from the pic, but I was so impressed with the features and quality of this toy.
The fabric is so soft. The contrast is great for babies. There's a little attached toy and pouch to keep baby's fingers busy for hours and a wooden teething ring too - though my son prefers the nose for chewing.
This toy is a good size - big enough not to lose, but small enough to be clutchable by a toddler. I didn't realize the company was so eco-conscious and responsible, which is a huge plus.
To be honest, I think everyone has learned to avoid everything Melissa and Doug and all the Sophies because everyone has them. I get stopped all the time by parents asking what this guy is! I know none of my girlfriends will have been gifted it yet.
We now own several toys by Petit Collage - from activity placemats to a wooden shape sorter, from a dining set to memory cards. Hands down, this is my new go-to brand for gifts. Reasonably priced, responsibly produced, and not yet overly popular. A GREAT bet for gifts!
My youngest Grandson was 7-months old when I pulled this toy out of my diaper bag on a day trip. He is so loving and loves to cuddle in my arms so I thought he might enjoy this toy when he's in his car seat in my truck.
His initial response was to pull the toy into a hug and squeeze tight. He fell asleep in his carseat with this little guy in his hand.
There are several different ways he can play with this toy and he seems to enjoy all except the fabric pull piece that causes a slight vibration. He wasn't strong enough to pull it himself and when I pulled it for him the vibration effect seemed to startle him. I've helped him pull it several times since and he is no longer afraid of the vibrations but he doesn't voluntarily attempt to pull the cord himself. I'll let him decide when he's ready to play with that part of the toy.
He's always enjoyed crinkle toys and he likes this as well but the crinkle part is so small that it doesn't make a lot of noise so it doesn't attract or hold his attention as far as playing with it to make noise.
The toy is soft and safe for him to toss around. He's thrown it from his high chair several times.
The material the bear is made from is soft and doesn't seem to irritate him in any way.
It's really a cute toy and it's great for little ones that love to cuddle.
