Wowza! This laundry spinner is more than incredible!!! It really is true that your laundry comes out 90% dry. I was considering purchasing the old-fashioned clothes wringer--but figuring out where to mount it or even how to mount it was a problem. My little Panda has a small footprint, completes the job in 5 minutes, and probably does a better job than a wringer. I can spin all of the sheets and pillow cases from my queen-sized bed and line-dry them in less than one hour. My high-dollar washing machine could get my sheets as dry as the Panda, but if the sheets were only slightly worn, it would actually shred the material because of the force and the way it spun. My Panda will never do this. I am so thrilled to have discovered this product, but I would have not ever considered purchasing this product if not for the customer reviews that were posted on Amazon.
Holy moly. I was skeptical of a spin dryer's ability to dry clothes. Previously I was just line drying them inside and outside. This thing cuts the hang dry time to at most 1 hour vs 8-12 hours for hang drying after wringing out clothes by hand and (also tried wringing with a (just for clothes) new mop wringer).
I figured this thing would remain useful after moving into an apartment/house with real washer and dryer.because it would cut down energy costs of running a dryer thru a full cycle to dry clothes.
PS
Spend a second making sure the spin cycle starts smoothly or smooths out withing 10-20 seconds of starting. If not stop it and reorganize the clothes to balance it better. Yes this thing self-balances but it isn't magic and neither is any other kind of washer/spin dryer/centrifuge. If you want this thing to last a real long time take a bit of care when using it.
10/10 would buy again and would recommend to anyone without a real dryer.
Most front loaders top speed spinning is 1,500 rpm.rhe Panda spins at 3,200 rpms. I've given up on front loaders I have had 2 both with service contracts they both lasted 7 years totally. These were top rated machines. Water, electronics, comper boards and heat don't get along. So went the route of mechancial Speed Queen top loader. This Panda is a great addition. It is amazing the amount of water gotten out of a load of wash first full load with heavy towels jeans and chair cover. Took 7 cups of water out, split the load in half, cut 15 to 20 minutes off the drying time. This will help with drying whether I hang them up or use the dryer. The spinner works well does about 50% of a full load of wash. Heavy jeans 15 oz denim might need to go through the spinner twice. The machine works well, quiet, easy to load. Ten stars!
Spins crazy fast! I washed a small load of laundry in our Maytag residential washing machine, and when the spin cycle was done, I moved the load into this Panda, just out of curiosity, to see if it could remove any additional water from the clothes, AFTER the residential washer completed it's cycles. I was very surprised to see about half a GALLON of water come out of the Panda, holy toledo! This thing really works! After about 3 minutes the water was just dripping out, so I removed the clothes and they were just barely damp, like they would probably be dry in less than an hour if I hung them up. This is a keeper!
I really like this little spinner! I did a load of towels and followed the instructions so I put the big towel on the bottom then layered in the smaller towels then a medium towel on top. I squished everything down tight so there were no gaps then put the load disk on top. As some other reviewers noted I held the top of the unit while it spun up to speed (for maybe 10 seconds) but it was clear I'd loaded it right because it increased in speed. It didn't wobble at all once it got going. I let it run for the whole five minutes and it extracted over 3 cups of water! I really was impressed.
The towels came out damp but they'll be fully dry in perhaps 3 hours (It's cold and humid here and usually takes 14-20 hours for them to dry) so this is a major improvement. It's also pretty quiet. My only complaint? It looks nothing like a panda! Ha ha ha. The unit feels plenty solid to me. Yes, the lid is plastic but if you don't bang it around, it will be fine. Someone said there are no handles but there are. They are little divots cut into the black part of the upper unit. It's not that heavy, allowing me to store it in the bathroom when not in use. Again, very happy with this purchase and will keep you updated since I do two loads of laundry a week.

I am a knitter with heaps of wool sweaters. Washing them used to involve wrapping them in towels to squeeze out the water, then waiting days for them to air-dry, or using the washing machine's spin cycle, which would generally shrink or felt them because of the agitation during startup and slowdown. I was shopping for an old-fashioned wringer and found this Panda, which was inexpensive enough to take a chance on. So glad I did. It spins my sweaters nearly dry without felting them. It also spins so much water out of the the rest of my laundry that line-drying time is cut by like 3/4 (and towels come out softer).
My old wood floors are a tad uneven, so I hold the unit still during startup. But after a few seconds when it's up to speed, it runs silently and smoothly. Use a big bowl or yogurt container for handwashed sweaters, and keep an eye so they don't overflow -- sweaters throw off a LOT of water. And it's impressive how much more water the Panda gets out of laundry that's already gone through the washing machine's own spin cycle.
I've been using it a month and will update the review if anything goes wrong later, but for now I'm quite happy. People who dry-clean their cashmere and wool because washing is a pain in the butt should consider this as a money-saver.
This is better quality than a different spin dryer I had. I like the brake feature automatically engaging during stopping of the spin cycle.
The only issue I have is opening the top after a load. If my hands are wet, there really is no place to get a good hold and not slip off the cover. I think the top cover will become easier to open with use. Spins the water out of clothes just great. Great for washing gym clothes. This model accepts a good sized load, and no issues with balance. I have not yet had to reorganize a load due to imbalance.
The only thing I can say is awesome. I have a Panda washer but the spin basket is small. This product worked just like seen on the videos by other buyers.
I am impressed that the clothes were almost bone dry. Following the instructions for loading, I actually stopped the machine before the 5 minute automatic stop. At 2 minutes, my clothes were almost dry to the touch. I air dried them while watching TV and put them away dry before bed. This is going to make all my workout clothes more manageable in the summer months.
This spins as well as any large washer with 3200 rpm that I have had.
This Panda dryer is very easy to use, and is fantastic at drying.
After plugging it in, and placing the washables with the included cover on top, all I do is pull the lever towards the right for on, and towards the left for off.
I have it plugged into a regular outlet, with an APC surge protector, which indicates zero problems while off or during use. The Panda dryer I purchased works properly. It makes a humming sound that I find tolerable.
After reading reviews, and reading about how this non-heating dryer can leave washables over 90% dry, I was skeptical, however it indeed does.
It dries and does it well. While using a fan, washed clothing that were run through the Panda dryer have dried within an hour. For me, that along with not having to leave my home to do laundry, makes it efficient and a huge money saver.
I use it in conjunction with a breathable mobile washer and a 5 gallon bucket for washing clothes, sheets, queen size blankets and so forth.
These two in conjunction have in the last month and a half, saved us $130+ in laundry fees. That's not even accounting for much less detergent use per wash.
All in all, I thank Panda for making such a convenient product, and highly recommended it.
Note that I have only dried one queen size blanket at a time, and give the Panda 10-15 minutes between drying, depending on how full, to let it cool, as once during drying 3 times consecutively, I noticed a faint burning smell, which I suspect came from it being overworked.
I have not had that issue again so far, after allowing it ample time to cool.
Deducted 1 star due to the slots for placing the cord at the rear of the unit, causing scrapes to the cord. For me it is not a huge issue, but it is good to be aware of it for safeguarding.
I simply loop the cord around and over the safety metal door lock.
Works better than expected. Wrings clothes very dry. The only down side it that it is heavy, but that is because it is very well made. I do like to put it on the counter so the water drains directly into the sink. Great capacity.
