Once again Chuka the barber made an outstanding product. This will help you set your blades to zero gap in no time! The only reason it gets 4 stars rather than 5 from me is because of the product’s quality. The material feels a little cheap and flimsy and almost broke setting my first pair of trimmers. Although I’m able to set blades myself to zero gap, this does help a lot and guarantees a perfect zero gap.
This product is amazing! I've had my t outliners for about 18 months. Before using this on the money trimmer, they've never hit very hard, meaning the line was always good, but never great. The out liners always required multiple times going over the same area of the head when lining up a haircut. After I used "on the money?" Ooohwee!! Night and day. One time and the hair is crispy! I love this product and I recommend the hell out of it. If you're even halfway serious about cutting hair, buy this now!
One point of caution. Take Care to be gentle on younger clients' hair until you're used to how the on the money blade setter changes the out liners. They're more effective, so be gentle. Awesome product.
This right here... this... wow. This took my Andis T-Outliner and made it a crispy outliner for my beard. I had watched a ton of YouTube videos on how to zero gap using a mirror/counter-top/flat surface.. but the cutting blade was always a bit ahead and would leave my neck raw. Now with this - literally 10s and I was cutting and trimming my beard. Outlines are also superbly crispy and easy to do now! 10/10
This apparatus set my blades literally On The Money... My skin wont let me shave, and I've been using an Andis T-Outliner for several years and wanted to get a little closer cut than what the "Out Of The Box" blades have been giving me. So, I purchased this little gadget and set the new blades up with it. After I set them up, I got a cut so close, I had the same skin trouble as if I shaved... Now that's close. What I personally had to do is use a .004" feeler gauge to backset the cutter enough that it didn't cut so close. But it worked great! And it was quick. If you can change your own blades, use can use this thing!
Works as advertised. In between haircuts I like to keep my two boys with a nice clean tape up so their hair is not looking out of control. It’s always been stressful because they will tense up and complete about how “sharp” the blades felt. I tried separating the blades but it didn’t give the sharp clean line the barber gives. This product allowed me to get the blades razor sharp while still being smooth on their young heads. Really appreciate you designing this product. -Happy Dad

This blade setter is excellent. It's made of durable plastic and aligns blades perfectly. The bottom/outside blade snaps into place and you can tighten the screws to the top/inside blade while the bottom one is secure. It literally takes seconds. This is a helpul tool that I'd recommend buying if you have to align your blades.
I ordered these because I could never get the adjustment correct on my Andis Outliners. My adjustment was either too dull and I could not get that crisp line like the barbershop or they were too sharp and I would shave a layer off my face (literally) when shaving along with cuts and burns when it came time to line myself up. First off I am not a barber and use these only on my sons and I in between trips to our barber where his clippers would always cut like a hot knife through butter, leave a perfect line all without pain. I inquired about him possibly adjusting my clippers and he referred me to this product which does 100% what it says it will do. I purchased this product full price and was not paid or compensated for this review.
The "ON THE MONEY 10 Sec Blade Setter (Black Setter) is the most useful tool for the beginner barber. I was a person that learned how to zero gap my andis blade using a mirror. But, this tool give me the advantage of making sure when I zero gap my blade I am not putting my clients or myself in harms way by cutting up their skin. I thank God for my knowledge and skills The Rich Barber Company has passed on to me with this tool. Thank you for making the blade cutting experience a lot easier.
The product works exactly as designed if you must have a tool to zero gap. The mirror technique works just as well though in my opinion.. but if you would rather just get a tool instead this works just fine. Would recommend this over the Andis zero gapper tool since lower price and helping out a new up and coming company.
I tried the mirror approach and could never get my zero gap exactly perfect so I thought I'd give this blade setting device a try - so glad I did, it worked flawlessly. The whole process took maybe 10 minutes from start to finish, including looking at the instructions, nice to get a product that actually works!
