Love this wine fridge!!! SOOOOOOO quite!!! Just loud enough that you can hear it. Set it at 40 degrees and it was 38 so couple degrees cooler. Unlike other reviews mine came in perfect condition no broken glass! The blue light really tops it off. Would definitely recommend this wine refrigerator! Only thing to worry about is who has to handle it in shipping. Hopefully its a caring person.
Replaced my unused trash compactor with this and couldn't be more pleased. I've only had it in and running for just over a week - but it works as advertised and seems to keep a nice a even temperature. I have it set to 55 F. Obviously with a fridge this compact at this price point you only get a single temperature zone. It's surprisingly quiet. The bottles fit 3 per shelf with the middle bottle facing top out. The blue LED light adds a nice touch and overall the fridge looks great.
Thus far very pleased. Like many things these days (particularly manufactured in China), the instructions & documentation are sparse and leave something to be desired. Thankfully I didn't have to change the swing direction or handle location. But the overall quality of this unit seems good, and everything works 'as advertised'. The packaging was was not excessive but effective, as it arrived in perfect condition (this was a concern with the glass). The installation looks impressive to everyone that has seen it.
I purchased the 12” Kalamera wine cooler on Sept. 28, 2016. I want to thank the people on this site who had previously purchased the Kalamera wine coolers (of several sizes) and answered my questions about dimensions, odor and service.
The unit arrived by fedex without any problems. When I unpacked it and open it up, I noticed a heavy chemical odor (like a solvent or glue). I contacted Kalamera and they told me that the odor would go away as soon as the unit was turned on. That is exactly what happened.
So far, so good. Next I discovered that there was not enough room behind the unit to fit the standard 3-prong plug. I needed a flat (or right angle) plug behind the unit. The only way to do that was with an extension cord. I was not sure what gauge wire extension cord to get and again contacted the manufacturer. They told me that “rated current of the unit is 1.5A, while power is 90W,”
I checked the gauge of the power cord attached to the cooler. It is 18 gauge, so a 16 gauge 3’ extension should work well. The unit is installed and has been running for several days. There is no noise from the cooler and it seems to be working well. I am pleased with the cooler. It looks good. Is quiet, and fits my space.
So thought I would write a review after I was recommending this to a friend that was looking for a wine cooler. Bought this in 12/2016 and it is still going strong! This is my 3rd wine fridge purchase. Started with a mini 6 bottle (only good for red really) and then bought a under counter larger on-size of a dishwasher (thinking 25-30 ct) that did not really get my whites cold enough (would have to transfer the bottle to the main fridge before serving). So when we moved to our new house, I really researched as I wanted one reasonable in price but still could get a good “chill” on the whites so I could enjoy right from the cooler and not having to transfer to get it colder. This served the bill! It’s Aug 2018 and still no complaints. This is under our bar, and very quiet. This was pricey compared to my last one (higher price and smaller) but it was worth it for the “chill” lol - so was willing to compromise.

When we bought our vacation home, it had a trash compactor. It was noisy, smelly, and didn't even compact the trash much. So when it finally kicked the bucket, I started researching replacement trash compactors. I was shocked at the price - $1000 or more for a compactor! Then I realized that we didn't even need one, but what could go in its place? I knew I needed something there, and I didn't want to hire a cabinet person to fill the hole... Then I realized that one of these 12 inch fridges would fit perfectly!
So I removed the old trash compactor (good riddance!), and literally just slid this new fridge in the hole that was left behind. It was ever so slightly longer than the compactor, but fortunately I had extra space in the back to slide it in flush. It was honestly super easy to install myself - it's heavy so it doesn't really need to be screwed in like the compactor did.
I love how QUIET the fridge is when on. Can barely hear it. It's lockable too, which is great for the kiddos. In general the build quality seems great, and it looks high end, especially for the price!
The one thing I did NOT like was the logo. I don't recognize this brand, and frankly I think the logo and name cheapen it a bit. As our kitchen sports a lot of high end appliances, I didn't want the logo on the front, but I went ahead and bought it anyway. As it turns out, the logo can be removed EASILY by just peeling it off. The tape they used didn't even leave any residue. While this may not have been intentional, I really appreciated the option.
We purchased this to place in our new wet bar. It fits perfectly and looks great. It is ultra quiet too.
The unit looks great and is very quiet. I had previously returned a similar product because it was very noisy. I like the wooden shelves, but I do wish they had a protective coating on them. Most often, I am re-corking a bottle of wine and keeping it for a future meal. I'm afraid a re-corked bottle may eventually leak and stain the shelf. Other than that, this is a really great product. My last wish is for better packaging. My unit came dented, and all the foam surrounding the unit within the cardboard box was very thin and broken. Our installation is built-in so it didn't really matter and did not affect the performance.
Absolutely perfect. Very impressed with this cooler. I use it to age cheese that I make in my kitchen. Almost silent, I had to put my ear to the door to assure me that the compressor was indeed running. Holds temp well, and is very attractive.
Great product! Fits perfectly in the space that formerly held the trash compactor. Very quiet, looks great and most importantly, works very well! I'm very pleased with this purchase!
