I originally had the emergency battery charger. I order this set to add the home/car charger to my collection of tips. This product/concept works. When I buy a new tech product that have a new/different tip, I just order the tip and attach the existing emergency/home/car charger from Gomadic.

I received this kit as an xmas present, even before I received my Kindle. During the wait time the Kindle 2 came out and rendered this kit obsolete. I called Gomadic directly. They said that they have been getting hundreds of calls about this issue and explained that Amazon sideswiped them with the new release.
They've decided to send the compatible kit, free of charge, to those who had ordered it before the announcement of the Kindle 2 transition. They are not requiring me to send the old one back. They are taking the hit in the name of creating loyal customers. Thanks, Gomadic!
