Many people have noted problem with connection. I bought two of these and two echo's for my daughter and niece. It would not pair until I updated the echo. Then tell Alexa to go to settings. Select bluetooth and make sure the bear is on with batteries or plugged in. The bear should appear on the screen and then select connect. It should do everything else. It worked almost immediately after the update. I hope this helps.
I bought this for my grandson, but actually it is amusing to just about everyone who sees him. Each time that Alexa announces that an order has been delivered, he dances. It's cute and entertaining.

Works great as a gag gift, hilarious if you make Alexa say the right things (Alexa, what is twerking?). Pairing it is easy (hold button on the foot, use the Alexa app) however ours did not work initially after pairing. To get it to work, I had to pair it first, then flip it off and back on with the power switch under the foot. After restarting it, it worked.
This product is great. My entire family found it hysterical that this thing shakes it's booty and will read the news! (Use the app to pair it)
