Geeni Prisma 1050 A21 Smart Wi-Fi LED Color + White Light Bulb, Works with Alexa, The Google Assistant & Microsoft Cortana, Multicolor

Ive installed 4 of these lights in my kitchen ceiling with relative ease. My 3 year old loves the light changing features. My wife was skeptical at first has come to appreciate the feature as well. Add in the option for dimming and it can add plenty of ambiance to you room.

The geeni app is basic but effective. Grouping lights and naming is easy enough. The set up process can be improved but if you set up one light at a time it will be easier. Trust me set up one light at a time on a lamp or a easy to reach light.

So far I've had no disconnecting issue or performance problem with the lights. I'm using Google home to change the lights via voice commands. This way of interacting with the lights could be better. I'm not sure if it's google or geeni. I'm gong to say google because the geeni app works flawlessly.

The lights don't require a hub to work which is why i gravitated to them in the first place. Just set up the lights, get the app, and pair your geeni account with google. That was it.

I purchased these hoping they would match up to another Geeni light I had purchased from Walmart, however these were different. However, these are much brighter than the one I got from Walmart, and I only needed two of these rather than three of the others.

Set up is easy, but you have to have connection to 2.4gz Wifi. This is my first smart home product, and didnt want to start out with Philip Hue lights in case this just wasnt my 'thing' and for the money, I couldnt be happier. I'm excited to buy more and customize my homes lighting. It's a relatively cheap way to make changes to your home to make it match whatever mood youre feeling. I have noticed that the lights sometimes have a hard time connecting.

It appears you can only create groups if youre using the same exact model bulb, so i wasnt able to add my first bulb to pair with these.

Bought a bunch of these to see if they could replace the ridiculously priced Phillips Hue colored bulbs. They work absolutely wonderful,,.i can buy four of these for the price of one of my Phillips hue colored/white bulbs,.once you know how to connect and have done a couple, it literally takes 12 seconds to connect a new bulb to the app. I can now control all the lights in my Home theater room with Alexa, all with no hub! Not sure why so many are having isusues with them. They are so easy to connect. Planning to buy many more.

Like others have stated, colors definitely aren't bright, but for me they are fine.

Setting up the app and sync to the lights went pretty good. Only hangup was I had my phone on my 5k network and the lights use 2.4k so they failed twice before I realized the issue. Changed my phone over to the 2.4k and sync went just fine.

Then added the skill to my Amazon echo, found the devices. No problems there.

Haven't spent a ton of time on them, but one thing I need to figure out if its possible to put them in the special modes like whats shown in the manufactures app. Doubt I'd use that feature much but would be nice to know if it does work.

No complaints at the price point.

PROS
Easy integration with Alexa

Simple set up with 2.4ghz band, and never have to connect to it again once you initialize the set up.

No Hub

Works flawlessly when changing bulb colors.

Can name separate bulbs and set as many as you want into groups. Example, you have 8 lights in your kitchen, and you want every other light to be red and green, you can make a group for 4 lights and change it to red, and make another group for the Last 4 and change it to green, then you go to the other group you made with all 8 and change it to a scene where it changes from all colors instead.

Cons
You cant set it by RGB code, would be nice to set red to 255 instead of having to use the slider.
You can get by this by using alexa to turn it to red, or green, etc.

The only other bad thing is they arent very bright when you use color. The warm white is bright and looks great but the colors are lacking in brightness but still worth getting.

Edit: Hasn’t blinked in a fair amount of time, still a risk if purchasing.

Worked great for months until an update created issues. Often the lights will randomly flash or turn off, I have to disconnect them or they will flash at night and light up the entire room. The light will also turn off randomly every few minutes and I have to turn them back on. They were great before they started doing this, I’ve tried all kinds of troubleshooting but nothing helps. I contacted the company about the issue and received no response.

Have had these bulbs for a few months in our living room lamps. Don’t use the color function but was the same price as the white bulbs at the time. Setup was easier than easy. App works flawlessly. Easy to set up groups as could set a schedule, but didn’t do that. Paired super easily with my Amazon Echo Dot. Not sure if they are quite as bright as a normal 75 W bulb, but they are bright enough and brightest smart bulb I could find. Primarily use the dim function, either through Alexa or phone. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Works great...easy to program. I've used it both with Google Home and Amazon Echo with great results. The only issue is smart devices only recognize what color/brightness you want for each bulb grouping. Won't recognize the "presets" you can program via the app on a smartphone. Still, I've had zero issues and been using for about six months.

Works great, I paired it to my Google Home, I love voice control. The app is easy to set up as well. The colors are a little weak.

I bought three of these.
I love it.
The brightness is as described. The app works great and fast with the bulb.
Very handy when I am on a vacation and not in the house.
I will buy more in the future for the rest of my house lights.
