Bought these pouches to save some $. As a teacher I go through the 200 pack of pouches very quickly and the scotch brand pouches were adding up in price. I can not tell a difference between the scotch brand pouches and these pouches! These pouches do have more "cling" than other pouches and it takes some more effort to adjust materials in the pouch before laminating but I have also noticed that these pouches keep the objects in place better than scotch brand pouches due to the "cling". My small pieces used to fall out of the pouch when it was placed in the laminator or moved. These pouches keep everything in the spot you set it in the first time. I have a scotch brand laminator and have not had any problems with jamming, lines, or wrinkles as other reviews have and have gone through 400 of the sheets already. Great product and saved half the price of scotch brand sheets! LOVE!!
My wife is a teacher. Anyone who personally knows a teacher also knows the amount of work they do at home as well as the amount of supplies they buy on their own. Regardless of the school having a laminator, my wife has so many more projects that she wants laminated for her kindergarten students so we bought a little laminating machine for the house as well. These sheets are what she has been using for quite a while now and she just loves them. They go through the laminator with ease and come out as expected. We have never experienced issues laminating as a result of these sheets, now if we could just get the dog to stop shaking his fur around when we are laminating we would be set!
I ordered these because of the price and the quantity honestly. I read the reviews and I could tell that some of the reviews are because they didn't know how to use their machine and figured I'd give it a try. I'm relatively happy with my decision because while these may not be 5mm these do work. If you need something thick I wouldn't buy these. These are really thin, I can laminate with these a regular printer paper and when done I can hold it out and it will droop down as a natural paper would. With a thicker sheet I can laminate a printer paper and it will hold tall with zero droop. So if you just want a paper that's not going to get ruined this is for you, if you need something that needs to be a bit more sturdy I wouldn't buy these. I do like these though and they have been great for my homeschool projects. Next time though I think I'll go with the thicker ones though. But this is still a great product. Oh and as far as clear quality these are 100% clear after lamination just like the more expensive ones are. No gritty no foggy no lumps. Just a nice clear shiny finish. Really the only flaw is how thin they are. Other than that I see zero difference between these and the better brand.
I bought this brand because my regular brand (well known brand) was back ordered until the 26th. I just finished laminating about 35 pages. I've cut out my pieces (I teach Kinders) and have been bending them the way a child would. The pieces are holding up fine. It might be a tad thinner than I am used to, but that is okay because of the volume of laminating I do, this pack was very inexpensive. I will certainly order again and I do recommend this to teachers.
First, I would like to say that I did NOT receive this product for free or a discounted cost. I paid full price and this is just my experience with this item. I hope my review is helpful! :)
I've used a few different brands of laminate sheets with my home laminator recently as I have undertaken a large project: laminating all of my son's Lego manuals. These are a very good price and I really like the box these come in. I have used all 200 sheets, and they all ran through the machine with no issues (aside from human or machine error- nothing consistent that I would attribute to the sheets themselves), are nice and clear, and have less rippling than other brands I've used. I did notice that these are slightly (very slightly) thinner than the other 3 mil ones I have used. I dont have one of those tools that measures thickness, but I can tell by just feeling them that they might not be a true 3 mil. For my use, I'm perfectly fine with that, but just making a note in case that's important to someone. I'm only deducting a star because they are, by far, the static-isty ones I have used. It takes a bit of practice to be efficient with them. The paper you are trying to laminate clinges immediately and it's hard to move around to get it in the position you want before you put it through the machine. Now, to play devil's advocate, Lego manual pages are glossy, thin, and already have a bit of static all by themselves. But there is a noticeable difference and I laminated Lego manuals with the other brands as well. If you are going to be laminating construction paper or just regular notebook paper, these will probably be perfect. Like I said, it's just the static that make these not a 5 star rating for me. In fact, they are such a great price and since I've had practice with them now, I will probably buy them again.

Description
200 Value Pack
This brand laminates all paper items well and as expected and the thickness is standard for the size advertised, and I cant recall any issues however where this brand really excels is with the ease at which I can laminate many smaller items easily within a single laminating sheet. For this reason, these laminating sheets are ones that I go back to, even when i have tried other brands at similar to a slightly lower pricing - therefore when I see them on sale I try to stock up.
For an ongoing project I am constantly laminating items utilizing 20-50 laminating sheets at a time in order to laminate an average of 3-5 smaller cut out items, therefore needing to fit multiple cut out paper items within a single laminating sheet. For those who just want to laminate a piece of 8.5x11 paper, this brand will definitely suffice. However, what keeps me coming back to this specific brand is that its excellent for laminating smaller items as it has a little bit of a cling to it. Once the paper gets fit in between the sheet and is closed back up, there is a slight cling that prevents the small paper items from shifting. The slot within my machine where the paper goes into sits about 2 inches above the table surface, and when the laminating paper is run through it, it is often at an angle. Many brands of laminating paper without this cling makes it more difficult to laminate, as any angle causes the paper items to shift causing me to constantly keep an eye on the paper or hold it up. Because this package comes with 200 sheets, the box has some height to it and is very sturdy, allowing me to use it as an extra surface to put the laminating sheets on closing the gap between my work table and the machine.
However, what keeps my coming back to using this brand is the cling of the paper which is a feature (whether intended or not), that helps tremendously for the projects I work on. When running the paper through the laminating machine, this extra cling makes it so that the smaller pieces of paper don't shift. This saves me a TON of time, as with other brands, I am constantly re-shifting the items mid-lamination.
I have to say I was a little worried about getting these based on some of the reviews I read but Scotch raised the price on theirs and I was looking for an alternative... When I came across these so I took a long shot and went with it. And I was glad I did. I have to say yes I did have a few sheets get jammed and fold up like an accordian and I had a few corners come out bent but I have laminated about 1000 sheets with the Scotch brand pouches and had the same issues from time to time. These pouches do seem a little thinner fresh out of the pack but after sending them through the laminator I can't tell the difference between the the Scotch ones and these ones.
I almost bought a name brand... But I decided to give these a try. Why spend more? These do the job and you'll save you a few bucks buying these instead of a brand name. They sealed perfectly for me with no curling.
I use these for business and they laminate perfectly, every time. I also used these to make a matching game for my granddaughter. I printed out several pictures on one sheet. After laminating the page and then letting the paper cool completely, I cut around each picture. The lamination held! My granddaughter can play with these pieces over and over and they never open.
I can't imagine why I would buy another brand. These work perfectly for a great price.
Great product.
Couple of hints:
1. The laminating pouch has a lot of static and may be difficult to open. My easy fix was to just take a piece of tape (touch the sticky side of the tape with your fingers to make it LESS sticky), and place the tape on a corner of the open end of the pouch. This makes it easy to open the pouch. The tape can be reused many times to help you open more pouches this way. Always remember to remove the tape once the pouch has been opened.
2. To more easily align your paper in the pouch, start from the open end first. Then just let the paper glide into place in the pouch. I had made the mistake of trying to align with the closed end of the pouch first. Far easier to start from the bottom.
Once laminated, the pouch is as described - crystal clear. And, it seems to make the colors in my printed page a bit more 'intense', giving it a nice, professional look.
The box is broken but it is meant to broke because you got 200 LAMINATING sheets!!! Best deal ever so I really don't care about the box not being on perfect condition because what's inside is the important ones and there was no damage or anything with the sheets. I just ordered another batch because my husband made a good suggestion to always order two so once the first box finish, I have another one available while the other package is on the way so you never run out. Because if you do run out of stock, you will be forced to pay the same price with scotch or other brand that you can get at the store for a small number of sheets like 65 pcs. instead of 200 like this one! Same price but quantity is a huge difference. I always use them obviously but even if you don't, why buy other brand for the same price but low quantity?
