Wine Enthusiast 272031910 Silent 21 Bottle Dual Zone Wine Refrigerator with Curved Doors, Small, Black

Am very impressed with how quiet this wine cooler runs. Appears to keep temperature about as advertised. Racks for some wine bottles is s little tight, though I managed to get them in there. You do lose some space with stand up rack that can be used for larger bottles. All in all impressed with the small and sleek size of cooler, the quiet motor, dual zone temp accuracy god the price. Would buy this again.

Have only had it operating for about 2 weeks, but it appears as advertized. Seems to be of good quality, has reached temperature and only fluctuates 1-2 degrees on display, and holds the bottles as expected. The optional stand up bottle feature was a selling point. It is a little noisy when fans are running but it's also sitting on a hard floor which probably doesn't help. But it is not loud enough to be a problem

I got this as an anniversary gift for my husband, turns out I like it as much as he does! Really like the area you can stand up opened bottles. I drink white wine and having it at the right temperature enhances the favor so much. The only problem is that we are drinking more wine, oh wait how can that be a problem!

We love our little wine fridge! The dual zone allows us to store different types of wine at 2 different temps! Love that! Our only complaint is, if you have a power surge or power goes out, this will default to the coldest settings. Not good if you are on vacation and can't get to the fridge to reset the temps to what you want. That is the only reason we didn't give this a 5 star rating. Other than that, its great! Looks nice as well!

I think we like it. The top wasn't cooling as we needed, however my room wasn't cooled. With the thermoelectric fridge, there has to be some ac in the room about 70F.

One of the best winner coolers out there. One of the main reasons we bought it, was for its quiet fan and motor. You can not hear it. It looks so nice at night when the lights are one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍷🍷🍷

This is my third wine cellar unit (I've had Danby and Haier). I received this from Amazon Vine, likely to help offset the one star review, which was the only review posted formerly.

A couple of quick negatives: the unit is supposed to go down to 47 on the top cellar and 53 on the bottom (it states 46 and 52 on the listing, but the adjustable thermostat numbers only go down to 47 and 53): The cellar continues to read 50 on top and 58 on bottom, despite setting these on the lowest. I have tried this with the cellar empty and full. Here however is the interesting part: the bottles feel the correct temperature to touch and when consuming. I haven't tested this with an overpriced laser thermometer, but is seems the whites are actually close to 47, despite the 50 reading on the front.

It does produce a bit of noise. It is thermoelectric, so it doesn't have the jarring compressor startup sound, but it does have a hum, more frequent at lower temperatures and when empty of course. Keep this cellar as full as possible to keep the temperature consistent and have less noise. Also make sure not to shove all the bottles to the very back - keep room for air flow and don't block the internal (or external) vents.

This vents on the side, so I would not recommend building this into a cabinet area without a proper vent area.

Positives:
+ The cellar holds pretty large pinot bottles in the maximum capacity setup (not the largest).
+ Holds tall bottles, including most German Rieslings I've tested it with.
+ Includes option for all horizontal shelving in bottom unit - all shelves included.
+ Includes option for the pictured setup where it can accommodate larger bottles or open bottles (who has those?)
+ Includes a water tray for adjusting humidity - I don't use this since this is a short term cellar unit for me.
+ Holds 21 bottles as advertised with standard horizontal shelving setup. No crazy cramming.
+ Easy to use controls on the front - C/F temps, separate lights (appear to be LED) in each cellar compartment.
+ Thermoelectric - much better, quieter, energy efficient, and durable than standard compressor units.

Bottom line: this does not replace a proper cellar - I recommend having one built (you can even put it in a closet in your home) or renting an off site cellar (which I do). If you have less than 50 bottles and don't need the capacity, then this is a good unit. We use this for the wines are are more likely to drink soon - keeping the high end reds in the bottom and a few ready to drink whites up top. The cheaper stuff can just hang out at room temperature.

I recommend this unit - it is functional and looks great. I will update further when I figure out the temperature situation. I might test a bottle by pouring wine in a glass and sticking a thermometer in it! It might just be the thermometers in the unit are placed oddly.

Update 8/4/16: Keeps hovering around 50 in the top unit, the lower unit stays at 55 consistently. I keep my place cool, but not too cool in the summer, so the ambient temperature is probably about 76 - 78. I expect this might be the reason the top doesn't get down to 48. I'll update again in winter when the inside temp is consistently upper 60s.

Fits bottles nicely. Good price and quiet

Ok - I am bumping back up to 4 stars. I guess intial cool down takes 20-24 hours, but once its there, the bottles help maintain the temperature. I keep the top at 52 F and the bottom at 62 F, only bc i dont really need reds to be much cooler than room temp. I did have to do a lot of wiggling and forcing to get some of the thicker red bottles in, one even tore the label (gasp!) And I do put my sparklings in the bottom, which i guess when I plan to open them, I would transfer them to my colder real fridge the night before or a couple hours before to get it much colder since they do not fit at all up top. The BLUE led is definitely very bright and sensitive to any touch. I would wish it could auto-dim. But overall, its really the 'ooooh' factor to it that I like, its definitely a show piece when guests come over. and its super quiet. you do hear a soft low hum if the room is silent. that is all!

Bumping down to three stars for this reason: It's been running for almost 8 hours straight and the top section has only gone down from 71 degrees to 61 degrees....its taken 8 hours to cool 10 degrees?? Its the white wine section, this is 'suppose' to get down to 46 degrees. I'm fine with even 55 or 57 degrees, doesnt matter, but why does it take so long to get there? I might bump up my review if it can maintain 55 degrees after opening/closing a few times, I hope this is just a fluke for when you put in brand new bottles in. But if its really that weak, I'm afraid how it will manage going forward not to mention the reliability issues that may customers are talking about...

I just got this today and set it up. I was really looking forward to a sleek sexy wine fridge but my initial reveal was rather anti climactic because when I first opened the box and took off all the wrapping, the top panel of the upper fridge door looked marked up or like smudged/scuffed up. The hinges were all covered in protective wrapping, but why not the sleek top panel of the doors? it looked almost used. I had to inspect the hell out of it to make sure this wasn't a used unit. Anyways, I tried wiping it down, but it didnt really help. I guess the foam contact during shipping created the small scuffs.

Anyways, I plugged it in and started filling it up. First I loaded up the top with 5 bottles of Giuseppe Quintarelli, which were narrow bottles, they slid in easily Then I tried other whites where the bottles were more standard round, and I had to almost forcefully squeeze them in. None of my champagne or sparking wine bottles fit in the top, I had to put them in the bottom to my dismay.

Then the bottom section, immediately i noticed it didnt hold 21 bottles, but rather 19 bottles with the upright option. You only get 21 if you use the horizontal shelves. Anyways, i had to play serious wine bottle tetris to get even 19 in. and that included a lot of squeezing and forcing (but not too much to break anything) but it was very very tight.

When all bottles are in, the light is barely noticeable since its blocked by the bottles, but overall it does look very nice. I just wish they gave you 1-2 inches vertically and horizontally and everything would fit easily. Not sure why they tried making it so compact.

Anyways, the 3.5 avg star review is about right due to this. Being from the 'Wine Enthusiast' they should be well aware of various size and shapes of bottles, So I'm torn, I am giving it a reluctant 4 star.

It's not "Totally" silent, but does blend in nearly silently to ambient noise. Two zones do hold temp well, but after opening door expect display to 'accurately' show the temp change of inducing warm air.
