i was skeptical since reviews have not been great on this. I've had it for 3 months and it has worked flawlessly. Will update if anything breaks.
Pros:
All 8 functions tested and work great
I can convert albums/cassette/CD to digital through USB and play in my car, on my PC, or anywhere.
AM and FM work perfectly with small single wire antenna. None of my other radio units have worked in this location - especially AM
Looks amazing - I got the white model
Multiple options for Auxiliary inputs (though I have not tried these)
External headphone output could also be used for small speakers
Easy to pair with my iPhone in < 60 sec via Bluetooth and played songs stored on my phone instantly.
Remote control does just about everything with mute button for answering phone calls, etc
Can save a fortune converting old media to digital without expensive outsourcing
Phonograph comes with 3 extra needles if needed (photo lower right)
Cons:
Sound through speakers is acceptable, but not great - might try external options, but I'm happy with sound right now
Due to it's nostalgic design the power on/off and tuning/preset radio options must be done by hand rather than on remote
Bottom line, this was one of my best purchases on Amazon. Pros completely outweigh the Cons and I'm using it nearly every day
I bought this for my wife because she has a lot of childhood records and she really wanted to play them for our 1 year old. The device has the benefit of playing cds, cassettes, and Bluetooth for mp3 players or other Bluetooth devices. It will also record records to cd.
The sound quality of the speakers is fantastic for what it is. Obviously it won't take the place of a good surround system, but it is plenty loud and the sound is good. Not tinny at all, a full sound. My wife has been using daily since we bought it, and is now shopping for more old records to play on it.
I've only had it for a week so far but after having to choose between the Aviator and the Electrohome Signature and taking a chance with either of them despite the scary negative reviews that had me worried about these all-in-one record players. It's not bad. The speakers are pretty decent and damn well can get loud if you're just a casual vinyl person and not audiophile. Also! Big plus is this one has phono out which is nice if I ever want to add some powered external speakers in the future unlike the Electrohome from what I've read. So, you know, keep that in mind.
The am/fm radio is really nice and clear even in this three story apartment building I'm in which acts like the Bermuda triangle and can't get a signal out with my phone to save my life sometimes.
The bluetooth works excellently and quick. (Note: the Aviator will show up as, "Wooden music player" or something along those words.)
The cd player works which is all I can really say on that subject because I played, like, two disc on it but it works nonetheless and reads even clear, black, blue cd backs.
Haven't tried the cassette player yet. I'll add onto this later when I get some cassettes to play some day.
And the big one. The vinyl player. It comes with a little first startup manual laid across the platter. So setting it up was easy. It plays all speeds like it says it should. I tried 33 1/3 LP's, 45's, and 78's. It comes with a tonearm lift so that's nice so you don't have to just drop it. The platter doesn't skip and the needle reads clearly. Now of course the quality of the needle some audiophiles will say, "Eck! Ceramic garbage! Destroy your records!". Like, okay, sure probably they do but I just wanted something that works and doesn't actually destroy your records like Crosley's record players. It's good, good for casual vinyl players that just want to play some of their old records, and new ones occasionally. It's actually not bad.
Also the packaging was something else. In a good-ish way. Came in four boxes and the box with the record player in it was protected with foam braces and air bags. The vinyl player has a transport screw the tone arm was secured with a wire and foam block and plastic clip to hold it to the resting arm and the platter was held stiff with a foam block pressed down to it. I'd recommend holding onto these foam pieces just for future reasons. The needle was protected with a plastic cover. They supply three extra replacement needles and a microfiber cloth. A manual included with a remote. The remote did not come with batteries. The remote acted funny at first with the volume not going up or down without first going down once before going up in volume and vice versa. The knob for the volume on the console is weird it's molded with a arrow and a printed - to + picture but the knob you might have to twist it around all the way twice to turn it from 20 to 0 volume because, I don't know, oversight?
I loved this product, it arrived on time, and as promised. It makes me wish I had kept all of my old cassettes, but I'm sure I will find some somewhere. There were two versions of this, one with the record function, and one without. I opted for the version with the recording feature and I am glad I did. Whatever media I am listening to, I am able to hit record and transfer it to the usb flash drive (which was included in the purchase!). So easy to take old vinyls, and bring them with me in my vehicle.
Money very well spent!

Description
Victrola Nostalgic Aviator Wood 8-in-1 Bluetooth Turntable Entertainment Center, White
This was purchased for my 82 year old father and he really enjoys listening to old albums and his old cassettes. It takes him back to a time long gone. He is learning all of the functionality of this unit with enthusiasm.
We purchased this for my father-in-law, age 92, and wanted simplicity for him to be able to digitize his phonographs which is something he wanted to do. This was not only simple for him to use it also had GREAT SOUND. We were amazed. It really made the old phonographs some awesome. We thought we'd have to connect to external speakers to give it better sound (which the unit has connections for external speakers if you desire to do so)...but that was not necessary. The speakers delivered fine sound. We were very happy with this purchase. We will probably order one for ourselves. This 8 in 1 records to USB and does not record to CD. Some models record to USB and some CD...go to the manufacturers website and check out each model before making your selection. We are very pleased.
Absolutely love this all in one player! Beautiful, authentically vinage and well made! Very impressed and couldn't be happier!
This was a bit pricey but for what it can do I think it might be worth it! I've only just received this fantastic machine and so far it works just as I wished it would. I wasn't able to add the video of the phonograph automatically stopping at the end of the record but it does. It just doesn't retract the arm. Most of the bad reviews say things start to fail after a while so we'll see. I've attached some photos and videos to help show it's beauty and ability. If anything fails, I'll be sure to edit my review to let others know.
Colored ordered: WHITE. This is not a white white; it is a rich creamy white which I think is beautiful. Docking it One Star because the first time I open the lid my finger was pinched in the hinge, so badly that I had to lower the lid before I could remove my finger; very painful. I would like to see them use a different hinge. Another thing would be to allow the lid to lift higher making it easier to place & remove records and to lift the arm to check out the needle, record, etc. I bought this through Amazon Warehouse Deals, whom I've ordered through before with fine results, so I'm sure it was a "return" item. The radio is very nice; love the brightly lighted dial, easy to read and change channels, and plenty of volume with excellent sound.
Then I tried the record player - the main reason I ordered this - using one each hi-fi vinyl and stereo vinyl (33-speed), and an old 78-speed record (all of which play fine on a small, less expensive player my son bought me 2 years ago). There was NO volume with any of the records (checked the needle too). That was why I tried more than one, thinking "well, maybe it's because it's a hi-fi," etc. I stopped trying all the other functions immediately because I didn't want to possibly harm something mechanical relating to the volume. When I packed this up I found, loose in the outer bag that had been around the player, a plastic piece which was to protect the needle. Then also found two styrofoam pieces loose in the box: One to protect the spindle and one to protect the platter in shipping. Perhaps this is why Volume Control was not working??? I love all the features it has and will use them all if I am lucky enough to purchase one that works for me. I will try a brand new one after this return goes through. Very disappointed this one didn't work out but don't blame Amazon. Think maybe previous buyers didn't repack properly or it wasn't working for them and they didn't advise Amazon.
Hope this helps someone out there. Will review new one when time comes.
