Mini Portable Countertop Spin Dryer

Mini Portable Countertop Spin Dryer

Mini Portable Countertop Spin Dryer

I think this is my favorite Amazon purchase of all time. Being in San Francisco, I live in an older apartment without a laundry facility. Love my building, but adjusting to life without a washer was difficult.

I have been using this thing OVER A YEAR now and it's still running beautifully without any hiccups. I run it for about 7 cycles a week too, but it's held up well. I work an office job and don't usually need more than a weekly "refresher" for my clothes. I soak them in laundry detergent in a container in my bathtub and then rinse them and spin them dry. I put it in the tub as it can really move around and the hose can drip water everywhere if you're not careful. This thing gets my clothes so dry! They still need to be hung and such, but it's impressive just how much water it gets out. (I put them in dripping wet) balancing can be a little tricky but you get the hang of it. Like other users I've noticed filling it fuller not only makes doing laundry take less time but also seems to help with balancing. On top of it all, I'm also noticing my clothes are lasting so much longer this way.

So grateful I never have to lug a bag of my wet clothes up flights of stairs ever again!

UPDATE: after nearly two years, the lid came unhinged and I had to replace the unit. Unfortunately amazon no longer sells this, but it is available elsewhere online. So happy I found this!

Love this product. items come out so dry they only take a little time to finish drying. It is centrifugal by design so you need to be by it for the full spin as the items may get off center and rock hard. I stayed near my, just because it was new, and glad of it because it almost rocked off the counter top with a shifted load. I just held it and it straightened right up. It is like not leaving the child in the walker expecting it to stay near you. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! I am 71years old with arthritic hands, hand washing I can do with no difficulty but the wringing that water out kills me. THIS PRODUCT is a HAND SAVER and my clothes dry is a few hours where it used to take two days. (no outside line in my apartment complex). Such a good value!

Our apartment has shared laundry, so when we decided on using clothing diapers with our newborn, we knew that we had to hand wash in our suite and dry on a drying rack. At first, my husband was adamant that he could wring out the diapers with his hand, every night after washing them, to put on our clothes drying rack... After one try of this routine, he quickly learned that he couldn't wring out enough water for the diapers to dry in time (wife is always right). So in comes this spin dryer.
This spin dryer and a nice compact size, and does an extremely good job of getting excess water out of wet laundry. Just 2 or 3 minutes in the spin dryer, and everything comes out slightly damp. Even our cloth diapers, which in some spots are 6 layers of cotton fabric sewn together, get dry enough that if we put them on a drying rack overnight in a warm heated room, they will dry by the morning. It's been fabulous, and we wouldn't be abel to execute our cloth diapering regime without this power horse.
I plan to use this spin dryer for hand washed items, like items that bleed for the first several washes, or in between washes where I just need a few items. If you have similar cloth diapering needs, or need an alternative to using your apartment shared laundry, this is the item to have. You won't regret it!

I love spin dryers and this one works pretty well. The hardest thing is getting it balanced so that it can get up to speed. The first several times I used it, I couldn't get it past ~250 rpm and thought I would have to return it. You just need to rebalance it, sometimes several times, before it works. And when it's up to speed, you can tell. It's very quiet, smooth, and fast. Like the other comments mention, it does seep water. Keep a rag nearby for clean up. Mine does wobble when it starts and slows down, but hardly moves even one inch. I don't think it will fall off the counter.

I love this machine. I can't imagine wringing heavy wet clothes out by hand. I am able to air dry anything in my apartment in just a few hours.

Note that it is quite tiny. I wash my towels in it, but I feel like even one bath towel is pushing it.

Love this thing! Pulls more water out of clothes than my front loader did, and things take far less time in the dryer now! Synthetic stuff like Uber armor type shirts, workout clothes etc dry on their own in like an hour with a small 9" fan going. We RV full time and our camper isn't equipped with a washer dryer, so I got this and a wonder washer to save on laundry mat costs. The 2 machines have paid for themselves already in about 6 months and I am a happy camper :) once we runner clothes thru the spinner, I hang them in our bathroom, turn on a fan and shut the door. In a hour my synthetic stuff is dry, and the Cotton's dry in about 2 or so. Had these 2 machines since Nov 2016, writing my review in July 2017 and they both are still working well!
Plus, you wouldn't believe how much yuck comes out of your clothes when u use a wonder washer, too....laundry mat front loaders don't do a great job of rinsing your clothes or cleaning them. With my little washer and this spin dryer, my clothes are actually getting cleaner.
You can fit like 4 shirts, some panties and socks in this- and I run it for 5 minutes. When you just have a quick load or so, these 2 machines together really save time and money! I can do laundry right in the bathroom and the washer cycle is 15 mind, the spin is 5. Boom 20 minutes I'm done 1 small load. Can finish 3 small loads in thr time it takes to do 1 wash at the laundry mat... No going anywhere, can do at 2 am if I feel like it :) love them both!

Great, but if you follow the recommended weight/clothing items for your machine on the pamphlet, you will kill it instantly.

This thing is great for getting items dry enough for hang-drying indoors. However, I couldn't see anyone making this work with more than two people.

I had a scare where I though it was broken after running 4 small 4 minute loads consecutively. The motor was super warm.

After leaving it unplugged, it was okay enough to do a couple t shirts and some jeans (jeans by themselves).

Was completely in love with this product until it completely broke on me, suddenly leaking water all over from the bottom of the spinner instead of the hose. And, lucky me, having only had it 2 months (maybe half a dozen uses), the window to return it closed after one month. I would have left an unhappy review after all that, except someone mentioned a year warranty to me and I contacted the company who not only alerted me to their 3 year warranty, but immediately replaced it,no questions asked <3

This is a helpful gadget. I would give it 5 stars if it were heavier duty. Because it is not heavy duty, it must be monitored at all times, and the load must be perfectly balanced. I don't spin many items at a time, usually loads about the size of one ladies' blouse/T-shirt. I don't dry the clothes very dry, but let them hang dry to get the wrinkles out. I only spin them for about a minute. Their hanging dry on a clothes rack humidifies the apartment, which is needed in the dry San Fernando Valley. This is a nice money saver; there is no need to feed the apartment washer and dryer with money to just wash an item or two. With this mini-spinner, laundry loads don't build up.

I just got this the other day and washed an item so I could try it out. It went at a pathetically slow revolution and wobbled like crazy. I was going to return it, but decided to give it one more try. When the reviewers said to make sure it’s balanced, that is the key to this thing! Once it gets started, when properly balanced, it doesn’t wobble at alll and you can barely hear it at all. Clothes are seriously almost dry when it stops. Definite keeper!!

Best invention ever for apartment living!!!! I use this with the EasyGo Hand Powered Washing machine also purchased on amazon. Once I've washed and rinsed my clothing I simply put a few items of clothing inside the drum and set the timer about 2 minutes for lightweight clothing and 5 minutes for a bath towel. It's super quiet and dries the clothing to such a degree that just a couple of hours on a hanger and it's completely dry!!! Easy set up and use pretty intuitive but I did watch a youtube video showing how to operate the unit that helped me a lot! I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to handwash, doesn't like going to the laundromat, or just wants to quickly wash a couple of items to wear the next morning.
