Changing my review to 5 stars. Coravin promptly sent me a replacement aerator, and it actually works like the video - clean streams not requiring a lot of gas (they asked to get the old one back to examine it which I took to be a good sign of quality control). Very pleased with the customer service - people make mistakes, the key is how you work to fix them. Thank you, Coravin!
I love my Coravin - I just sampled a bottle that I last drank from over two years ago and it still tastes fresh. I thought the aerator would be a great improvement, but as others have written, the "flow" from the aerator does not resemble the video in the least! Mine dribbles out and requires so much pressure from the unit to even get said dribble that I worry about cracking the bottle. When I remove the aerator, there is an audible hiss from the Coravin if it is still inserted in the bottle. My understanding is an aerator will take an hour out of decanting, so, I now pour an hour earlier than normal. It beats wasting $20 on a cartridge! Coravin, I will be a customer for life, but your aerator is crap!
Fabulous accessory for an incredible item!! Love the Coravin system as now I don’t have to wait for company to have a glass of wine. I can have a glass any time and the wine stays good for weeks!!! This cute little shower head just help to aerate the wine as you pour it. Love it!!!!!!!!

I was skeptical of this product at first - I have been an avid Coravin user for years, but I didn't believe this would actually work...so I put it to the test. I poured one glass of my favorite Duckhorn Cab with the Coravin aerator and another glass without. The difference was immediate and obvious! I was shocked. Amazing results and so glad I can aerate just a single glass without having to open the bottle.

The best addition for my coravin, it really works well for any red. it seems to give 1h of decanting, you just plug it on the coravin and pour, real great innovation
Wow! Proof is in the pour. Sampled glasses of wine aerated and non aerated side by side. It sure helped to open up those big bold Napa Valley Cabs that I love drinking (everyday - by the glass - using my Coravin). Thanks Coravin!!
This tiny aerator makes a huge difference! I received this as a gift and wasn't sure if it would make a noticeable difference. So, we organized a blind taste test with several different bottles of wine and every person was able to tell the difference between the wine poured through the Coravin Aerator and the one without. The body and bouquet of each wine was markedly improved. I now use it for every pour. I am giving this product, along with a Coravin device, to all the wine lovers on my Christmas list! Excellent product.
Was able to try with a few different red wines (pinot / merlot / cabs) and it does make a difference. I am an occasional drinker - but when I want a glass (or two), I want it to be the best it can be. It's also a great conversation piece and has definitely enhanced the experience.
