These work for what they're intended to do, protect the props. Here are a few things that I discovered when installing them:
- Install time is about 4 - 5 minutes per blade. Really not a big deal, remove two screws, replace two new screws.
- Autel provides new allen screws with an allen wrench, the problem is the original screws require a little bit smaller allen wrench to remove, which is not provided.
- Autel should develop a quick release for the prop guards. You will not be able to use the travel case because it's just not realistic to remove the guards to travel and then put them back on - would be a hassle. If I take my drone anywhere, I just do not use the case.
- Autel provides string that you use to connect the prop guards together - overall that's a little strange.
- In general, these guards work and they do the job fine, but because of what I mentioned above only 4 stars ✨
Bought them for insurance purposes. The last thing you want is to go fly and someone or some authority says your aircraft is dangerous without prop guards and you cannot take off or you are making people uncomfortable. In the U.S. you can sue for any reason at any time and I'd like the fact that I can satisfy the nanny state and tin foil hat crazies that might be eyeballing my aircraft as some kind of threat to them.
Very impressed with the way these attach so securely. I substituted a mini screwdriver with an appropriate bit to speed up the install uninstall process. They already saved 3 of my props from a weird mishap.
4 stars only because the allen key provided does not fit the size of the screws. It needs a 5/64" allen key. Except that it shows Autel products quality quality

It got me through my beginners mode, but now want to remove so I can stow it in the nice case I got. It would take an extra hour before and a hour after to break down.
Although it requires some time to install, I feel it provides a new pilot like myself, more than adequate protection. It seems everything Autel produces is done with careful planning. Good job, Autel.

Very nice. Protected my blades in a couple of close encounters.
Just wish I had it a day earlier. The only down side is that if you have to put the drone in the carrying case, you have to unscrew the guards, take off the string and re screw the original screws that hold the lights in order to fit inside.
