My extremely picky 10 lb. Shihpoo has been though at least 10 high end dry foods in the 6 years we've had her. I've never seen her eat it dry, she totally refused. She even went 3 days w/o eating once when I was trying to get her just to eat dry. Since then I always wet it with chopped chicken or beef added so she will eat. Today I took 1/2 cup of her current food (Wellness small breed) and half of this new food, she ate every piece of the Nude Food and left all the other. Every single dry piece !!!!! I will be buying this brand from now on.
I wanted to write a review because I am so SO impressed with this food. My dachshund/beagle mix has been on Wellness most of his life. He seems to have a problem with poultry and it's really hard to find foods without any poultry ingredients. Before I got him on wellness we tried so many foods, most of them leading to messy digestive issues. Wellness is a great quality food, but the kibble is big and it's somewhat higher in calories. My boy would scarf the kibbles down whole without chewing, so he wasn't digesting it well, which was apparent in his poops. Plus he seemed to be gaining weight.
This food is great because the Sea blend and the red meat blend have NO poultry products and he had no upset whatsoever in switching. The kibbles are small and easily digestible. His poops are small and firm which is great for me having to pick up after him. I'm thankful and relieved that he's taken to it so well. He even seems to have more energy and is more playful. A good quality food can make all the difference. If you're looking for a grain-free dog food without poultry products, stop looking and try this.
My only complaint -- please make this more available! I cannot find the nude foods in stores and especially the Sea which I prefer. I really hope this company continues to grow and can better distribute it's nude foods.
I LOVE this food! The only problem is it is hard to find locally (Phoenix, AZ) in the big size. I have 3 fur babies (2 puggles with a lot of sensitivities & 1 French Bulldog) & have struggled in the past finding a food that all 3 not only like, but don't have an allergic reaction to.
My 2 yr old Puggle has been the biggest struggle. I'm starting to think she has a gluten allergy, but this is the only food (after trying "all natural" brand after brand) that she hasn't suffered from itchy skin! Everyone loves their "I and love and you" food & I don't have any more picky eaters I have to fight with. DEFINITELY worth it.
Sincerely, 3 happy pups & their mom
My two English Bulldogs LOVE this food and it's a good fit with their allergies. I can't understand why it is priced some much higher on Amazon than on other places though. I've gotten lucky and a local grocery chain has started selling this - at HALF the price it's listed on here for
We have been a long time customer of the I love you kibble... great for our miniature Dachshund gang. This most recent bag came with large clumps of malformed kibbles - our pups cant manage and spat out, BOLO.

Description
‘Scuse me? Is that Dinner? Your dog may not have exquisite table manners. He may not unfold a linen cloth napkin in his lap, and he may mix up his salad fork with his entree fork. (It's okay, buddy. Sometimes we do that, too.) But your dog never fails to appreciate a great meal. Our NUDE FOOD POULTRY PALOOZA RECIPE is made with tasty, turkey and real veggies + fruit. High protein and grain free, your dog just might ignore the elbows-on-the-table rule when you call him over for dinner. We don't blame him. Just make sure he doesn't forget "When in doubt, pinky out" at tea time. That would be embarassing.
I found this after reading the review on dogfoodadvisor.com. I've been feeding this to both of my dogs (an Irish Setter and a very old(!) Terrier) for the past two and a half years.
It clearly is as good as I was led to believe. Our veterinarian asked what we were feeding our Irish Setter during a recent checkup because he noticed his coat was extraordinarily healthy looking and the dog had a lot of energy. Our Terrier, who is much older, shows increased energy and vigor since we began feeding a mix of this and their Beef Bouyah canned wet food. Our vet was astonished to see that a Class 3 heart murmur she had since we adopted her about four years ago had diminished to a Class 1 during her last checkup. I'm sure exercise helped, but what we were feeding her made a difference as well.
This costs more per bag than most commercial brands like Purina, etc. But this is also the best I've tried to date and my dogs don't neat to eat as much because there are less fillers in this product than the other brands.
Bottom line: Try it! I hope you find it as good as I did!
Great quality food, and the company seems pretty awesome too. I've been buying I and Love and You's dog and cat food ever since I saw their high ratings on dogfoodadvisor.com and have had no complaints so far. My dog enjoys the food, and he can be quite picky sometimes. The ingredients are great and although it's a bit more expensive than other foods on the market, I believe it's worth it to spend a little extra in order to ensure that my dog gets quality food! (When you compare it to the amount we spend on our own food, it really isn't that much!) I only wish this product were more widely available in common grocery stores near me.
Just received today and pup seems to like it. My only complaint is that I ordered the red meat medley and got the poultry palooza instead. I would have returned it if I wasn't completely out of food. At any rate, my dog seemed to enjoy it as much as the Blue Buffalo so I will probably stick with it because it is more economical but I hope to get exactly what I ordered next time. :)
Ingredients wise, it seems to be solid from a nutritional value standpoint.
Since a got hurt and had to quit work we sometimes eat this type of food. It’s really pretty good and it was on sale so we do this to save money for medicine. We think it’s good so I’m sure a dog would love it but we can’t afford a dog.
Don't ever feed your dog conventional food. Cancer is on the rise in dogs as well as humans and much of the reason is our food processing and additives. I started my dog on this after he was diagnosed with Mast cell cancer 4+ years ago. He still has tumors, but is energetic and healthy because of better food, canine enzymes and probiotics. More expensive but worth it.
