My Amazon Echo did not power back on after we had a loss of power, even though we had it plugged into a surge protector. I am almost a full year out of warranty for my echo and Amazon sent me this power plug for free and almost like magic my Echo came back to life as soon as it was plugged in with this new power adapter. Yay, we have Alexa back in our lives! Hooray!
I did not want to shell out 150.00 on another Echo just to listen to my music in another room. The most natural thing to do was to purchase another adapter so I could plug my Echo in and easily unplug it when I chose to move it.
Since I live in a small apartment, I do not have that much area to cover. I leave one adapter plugged into my living room and one in my dining room/art studio. When I am painting, I listen to music with my Echo, and when I am working out, I move it to the living room.
You cannot beat the convenience and savings. I did notice that there was a less expensive adapter. However, I feel safer using the one explicitly dedicated for the Echo.
My kitten chewed through the power cord that came with our Echo and I had to order a new one. I was disappointed that I had to buy another plug instead of being able to buy a replacement cable like most USB cables. I bought a cord protector for this Echo power cord so that hopefully I won't have to buy another one due to a destructive kitten.
Saved the day.
My parents home in Florida was flooded by Hurricane Irma in 2017, and we couldn't figure out why their Echo stopped working.
I realized their power supply was under water, so I ordered a new one when I went down to help them clean up.
Arrived in 2 days. Connected it, and they were able to summon Alexa again.
Nothing like the original parts to make sure you keep your gear working correctly.
Provided by Amazon after my Echo mysteriously died after having repeat problems following power outages and blown fuses. It appears the first adapter was from a bad batch and the new one works flawlessly. I REALLY wish the "brick" portion wasn't located on the plug because it covers 1-2 other sockets on power strips.

Purchased to replace a faulty Echo power cord. Worked as intended. 4*s as the 1st one should not have gone bad after 5 months.
A while ago, my Echo power supply stopped working. At the time, Amazon was out of the OEM power supply and provided me with a replacement from China. That one worked but was bulky and not as good looking as the OEM one, so I decided, when Amazon had caught up with back orders, to reorder a 'real' power supply. Very glad that I did.
Sleek, stylish power supply for my Amazon Echo. Works as it should, and hopefully will last longer than my previous power supply!
My original power adapter has died. I purchased this. Works as designed, but even more, it's clearly a better engineered replacement unit. You can physically see the difference, from the connector cable, to the transformer body.
Our cat chewed through our original cord, so we had to buy this replacement. It was a little pricry, but worth it to get the Echo up and running again.
