I designed the circuitry and wrote the firmware that runs inside this product. I work as a consulting engineer in Pittsburgh. It sure is great to see them for sale here on Amazon. I worked hard on this design, and I'm proud of it. Its insides are more complex than one might think! This review won't show up as a "verified purchase" because I have some of the prototypes. :-)
I was looking for a device which would turn on my swag lamp and table lamp simultaneously with my wall-switched floor lamp. I found plenty of "smart" devices that are controlled by a wi-fi based smart phone app or by speaking to google or alexa or siri or cortana or some other privacy invasive big brother crappola.
Switcheroo is the only device I could find that simply and elegantly gets the job done. I ordered the two pack. I set the receiving Switcheroo to use channel A. The transmitting Switcheroo was already set for channel A. I plugged the transmitting Switcheroo into the switched outlet and plugged in the floor lamp. I plugged the receiving Switcheroo into an outlet on the opposite wall, plugged in the table lamp and ran an extension cord behind the sofa to the swag lamp. Now when I flip the wall switch, all three lamps come on (or go off) simultaneously.
It was very smart of the Switcheroo designer to include two sockets on each Switcheroo. This allowed me to plug the table lamp and the extension cord to the swag lamp into each socket of the receiving Switcheroo. I was also able to plug in our tiny lit Christmas tree (during the season) into the transmitting Switcheroo which has the floor lamp plugged into its other socket.
FYI: this device uses a radio frequency in the 900 MHz spectrum between the transmitter and receiver. It does not interfere with my Panasonic cordless phones, my wi-fi, my home theater, or anything, It just simply (and elegantly) turns on and off my three living room lamps simultaneously.
I'm always getting requests by sellers to give them reviews but I rarely do amazon reviews because I don't want to be bothered. But without any request from Switcheroo for a review, I decided to do a review because this device is unique and deserves an atta-boy.
These are truly wonderful. Our master bedroom in our new home had the switch controlled outlet in the “lazy electrician” spot right by the door. Plugged one into that outlet on “send” mode. Plugged the other in behind our nightstand on receive mode. Plugged the one nightstand lamp directly into it and ran a 15 foot extension cord behind the bed for the other nightstand lamp from it as well. It’s very nice that the device has 2 plugs on it! I can’t speak for the longetivity of the product, but as for right now it’s working like a champ! $40 sure beats the price of an electrician. We flip the light switch and BOOM!
Worked well, but the one I was using as transmitter started to fritz after a few weeks. Lights flickered. I swapped tranmitter and receiver and will see how they hold up.
Switcheroo has provided a solution to a problem I've had for years - I wanted the lamps on each side of my bed to be controlled by my wall switch, but the switch only controlled an outlet on the opposite side of the room.
Before this my only options were to run an extension cord to the switched outlet (unsightly), hire an electrician to rewire the outlet (costly), or rearrange the entire furniture layout of the room (impractical).
I plugged one Switcheroo into the swiched outlet and set it to a Send channel, then plugged both lamps into the other Switcheroo in the outlet behind my bed on the corresponding Receive channel. Problem solved. The wall switch now turns the lamps on/off just as if they were plugged into an actual switched outlet. No lag/delay whatsoever.
Hats off to the creators and engineers behind Switcheroo - this product is amazing. It is a truly ingenious solution to one of life's more mildly infuriating problems.

Description
Switcheroo allows you to easily re-configure the light switches in your house without running any wires. This two pack can be configured either as one send unit and one receive unit, or added onto an existing setup in your home.
My first Amazon review! Never have the time. I’m pretty picky about what I buy; everything has to work as intended and be high quality or I get annoyed. This product is the real deal, and the only thing like it I could find. Much better than trying to rip out drywall and run wires. I converted a wall switch that operates an overhead light into turning on a pair of lamps across my living room by using a light socket to outlet converter and the Switcheroo. I’d buy again. I hope it lasts.
Great product for any home. (Forget expensive wiring, only takes seconds to set up. Our outlet that's powered by a switch can now be user to power any outlet in our house. Powered our lamp on the other side of the room. Solid quality product.
I love this product. I have it plugged into a string of Christmas lights that I can turn on and off from a light switch that is in another room.
Switcheroo works exactly as described. Super easy to install and great instructions. Arrived quickly and well packaged.
Small, simple device. Easy to setup. Does what it says. Performs flawlessly.
