My daughter received a Rocketbook Color for her birthday and it is now my go-to gift for any kid's birthday. Little kids, big kids, and kids at heart will love it. It travels really well (great activity for an airplane trip!) and saves a ton of paper. My daughter loves asking me to send her creations to her email account. Eventually I'll take her scans and create a Shutterfly book of her art. The only issue is that we have multiple Rocketbook users in our home and the kids use the same app as the adults. This means that 2 of the symbols for destinations have to be dedicated to the child users, which reduces the adult users destination options. It would be nice if you could have multiple users within the scan app. The Crayola Dry Erase markers work fantastically with the book, but any dry erase marker would work fine.

Purchased three different rocketbook products. This is the only one I wasn't as happy with though I still feel it merits a 5 star review because it is still a product that works very well. It's a more solid plastic type page that takes the crayons or dry erase markers. Yes, you could get the same or similar effects with a dry erase board - however it wouldn't be as portable, and wouldn't have the same type of drawing area. The first pages were blank, then toward the back it has the wide lined/dotted pages for writing practice and the two grid pages. It's a sturdy book that would work very well as a portable dry erase board. The seller states either dry erase markers or crayons, my one caution with this (that I have yet to test) is that these may smear a bit when the books are closed when using the dry erase markers.

Like the other Rocketbook products it has the QR readers at the bottom and larger size symbols for each of the scan/upload locations.

Yes, you may be able to do something similar to what this does with office lens with the app using dry erase boards. However, it wouldn't have the same function as far as how it cleans up and it wouldn't have the writing recognition software or the function to automatically save it to dropbox, email or a variety of other locations. Rocketbook's app (which is free, and of course designed to work with these) allows you to automatically send your images from the book as a PDF or JPEG image, bundle scan it (so multiple pdf or jpeg images) automatically send it when you're done with a scan (not available with bundle scans since obviously with a bundle scan you will just want it to send when you're done with the bundle). I'm not sure that you'd use the function with this set since it is more geared for kids, but there's also an option for animated gifs that can be selected for these books when scanned with their app.

Overall the book is a good quality and seems like it'd hold up to being thrown around a bit by a child.

Kids should really enjoy this art/handwriting notebook that allows them to be creative and to save their work to the cloud for posterity. Using Rocketbooks established app and image scanning and transmission technology, this drawing/handwriting book can allow for creativity and then the storage and transmission of the final product to nearly anyplace you could ever wish.

Pages are similar to other Rocketbook products, but much slicker to work with Crayola washable products. We've only used this with Crayola's washable markers. The video about this product indicates that it works with all Crayola washable products, but we've only used washable markers. The markers write well on the material, but the ink in the marker tends to "pool" on the surface of the page. You don't have to vigoriously scrub on pages to remove the washable market from the page. In fact you can run the entire book, page open, under a running faucet and the ink just washes away.

We have not tried this product with the Crayola washable crayons. Again the video says they work with this product, but the instructions on the product packaging only mention the markers.

Unlike other Rocketbook products, the pages are thick and slick, so I convinced that the Pilot Frixion pens will not work with this particular version of Rocketbook.

This Rocketbook is very durable. I've mentioned the slick pages, but they are also very thick. There are a number of page patterns in the book, including blank pages, dot grid pages, lined pages, and handwriting practice pages. The book is fully submersible and seems impervious to just about anything you can throw at it. It has all the regular Rocketbook functionality and includes the filing marks and QR code on each page, similar to other Rocketbook products and you use the same Rocketbook app with this notebook as with their previous notebooks.

Bought 3 for nephews from 4 to 10 years old and I have the Rocketbook XL. Great product. Portable no batteries or power required. Crayola dry erase markers work well with product. Erasable pens rip the pages. Havent tried the dry erase crayons yet. Children can easily draw and erase pages. They need help with setting up and scanning pictures. Easy set up and use for adults. I recommend highly. Great for traveling. I bought storage clipboards for nephews and packed Color and markers in each. Boys can easily carry with them

This is a great product. I bought for my grandson so i could save his artwork to pdf files for safe keeping. He likes having a dedicated book with his markers. I keep this on my desk and he pretty much uses it daily. My only issue is that is reflects that it cleans witht a dry cloth. That does not work, it takes a damp cloth to clean the pages.

Awsome! My nieces love it. We liked it so much I bought in for myself. A+ product

Love the notebook, however my son used one of the Flexion pens that are recommended for other Rocketbook products, and now the laminate is damaged. Luckily it was only one page, and only in some areas where he pressed harder than needed. But, still, buyer be aware if whomever is using it writes hard.

My two granddaughters loved drawing in this book and then the really good ones they can save in their folder on the computer.

Will be buying more. Basically like laminated paper but on laminated paper it won’t automatically connect to iCloud or other sources.

My kids love this! It is a great way to keep them busy during long trips. Sometimes it is hard to erase the crayons but it always comes off eventually.
