I pre-ordered these. It was a long wait, but they arrived about half a week earlier than initially expected. There was some confusion with the Amazon Tracking on my end, but I don't know what exactly happened with all of that.

It was tough finding the uniquely shaped needles for needle felting anywhere for a decent price, but Desert Breeze pulled through with a fantastic deal. Despite some vigorous use already, they held up incredibly well. I am quite prone to breaking needles. I noticed that the paint on the ends (for color coding them) was a wee bit "tacky" feeling after awhile, but it mattered little to me (and barely noticed since I was so busy), as the needles still worked incredibly well for my project, and still seem to want to hold up for my future ones, as well.

Due to the "tacky" feeling, I received a letter from Desert Breeze apologizing for it and even sent extra needles (with no "tacky-feeling" paint!) and was even offered to keep the ones I originally ordered! That is absolutely fantastic and I am thoroughly impressed with their service regarding this. Thank you very much! I know where I will be ordering my special needles from now on. I hope to see, in the future, wool options, as well!

Excellent quality. Arrived quickly and I love the tin that the needles come in! Will recommend these needles to anyone who’s looking for good quality felting needles. Thank You!

These needles work very well. These needles are shorter than the needles you can buy in bulk. I use the 36 star and the 40 twist in every project. I start a project using the cheap bulk needles and the finish using these needles because there really is a noticeable difference in the finished product. Once I break all 50 of the cheap needles, I’ll probably use these needles exclusively and, obviously, buy more. I have about 3 hours on each needle so far (felting merino and coarse wool) and they both seem as sharp as when I pulled them from the package.

Night and day to some needles I have tried. Quality counts! So glad I found these.

Just as described- good quality

Description

Not all felting needles are alike! To achieve the best results, you need to use a quality needle. These needles are made with high carbon steel by Groz-Beckert, a leading manufacturer of precision felting needles from Albstadt, Germany. Precision felting needles are specially made to withstand more use and have greater long term performance. The three sizes included in this package are the most popular among felting experts.

The needles are packaged in color coded envelopes inside a metal tin with a hinged lid. It is convenient for safe and easy needle storage, or for safe needle disposal.

The color coding on the envelopes helps to easily identify needle size/type:

- 36 Gauge Star - Orange (Sunshine, large star). Barbs on 4 sides. The 36 Star is for initial building up of the core, quick felting, and joining pieces together.

- 38 Gauge Star - Blue (Star, small star). The 38 star is smaller than the 36 star, and is used for finer core details and sculpting.

- 40 Gauge Spiral/Twist - Green (twisted beanstalk). The 40 gauge spiral/twist is a small needle for finishing details, and for use with fine fibers such as Merino. It is also an excellent needle for attaining a smooth finish with minimum needle holes.

Take your felting to a new level with quality needles!

I was very impressed with this set of needles. Would order again.

I started out with only one needle a friend donated, now I can try our all the different sizes and types to see what works best for me.

Great value!! Handy carry case. Now I need practice and finger protectors!!

These are awesome needles with a really nice box to keep them safe. I am very impressed

Long lasting and very smooth to use. These are some of the best I've used. Buy these quality needles over the cheap quantity needles. And I have not broken any yet!
