MoKo Case for Fire HD 8 2016 Tablet - [Heavy Duty] Full Body Rugged Cover with Built-in Screen Protector for Amazon Fire HD 8 (Previous 6th Generation - 2016 Release ONLY), Blue & Dark Gray

So far so good. One of the things that worried me about the new fire hd8 is the fact that it is so thin and slippery. With this case on it takes care of the thinness and also adds grip. Putting on the case was not hard at all, but I am familiar with installing full cases on other tablets. The front is a hard plastic that has a screen protector attached to it. This goes over the front of the tablet and hugs the sides of it. Around the back and over the sides goes the softer plastic rear cover. This cover is hard and not flimsy at all. After I put it on I felt much more at ease giving the tablet to my 4 and 3 year old without worrying that they might break it. The kick stand is also a nice addition and adds a movie or typing mode to the tablet. Over all I am very well satisfied with this cover. Also, I would like to add that I did NOT get this product for free. I purchased it with my own funds. When doing research for a case for my tablet one of the reasons why I decided on this one is because it adds corner protection, is not ugly and is affordable. There were some very nice looking flip cases where you slid the tablet in and it closes like a book, but none of those adds corner protection.

I got this to protect my daughter's new Kindle Fire HD (8 inch - 2016) that she got for Christmas. She's four and I wouldn't dare trust her to own and handle a Kindle without a protective screen. I bought this out of all other options because of the built in screen protector, stand, and the fact that the charging and headphone ports are covered. It's been dropped on hardwood floors already (she got it less than 12 hours ago) and it has survived - so far, so good. I'll also add that it's very easy to install - 5 easy steps from start to finish.

I just got this item yesterday and put my Kindle in it today. So far I like it. It does not have a closable cover, the only thing I find that I really like about the other cover I had. It does have a protective screen, which is why I wanted to try this one. It's hard to put on and does not come with any instructions so at first you might worry you'll break it trying to open it to put the Kindle inside. I'll update my review after I've used it for a bit and read my Kindle while using it. But so far I'm enjoying it. I do think it's perfect if kids will be using your Kindle. I would recommend it for Kid used kindles that will also be used by adults.

Great case. Very snug, which i like. I feel like it provides great protection for my fire and all the buttons and ports are still easily pressed and accessible. Thanks MoKo!

This is a review of the MoKo Case for Fire HD 8 2016 Tablet. (HD Fire 6th Gen)

Summary – My wife was looking for a solid case to protect all sides and the screen and this after researching was the best fit premised on features and price. The gray bumper area is a nice thick foam feeling type of material which is rigid. The top rim and bottom of the case are a strong polycarbonate or hard plastic. In terms of fit, fits perfect and snug as expected. The features such as ports, camera and such align perfectly. I would say this is a great fit for both adult and even a child based on the protection it provides. The only thing I question is if the kickstand will last. Several kickstand tablets have failed for me before with the kickstand part as we use that feature a lot. Overall very happy with this.

As with all my reviews, I will update this review should this develop any issues with ongoing use.

Pros
The fit is perfect and materials feel durable and feel as though they would do fine protecting a dropped device. (Sorry, did not try to test this.)
This has a built in kickstand which was a must and works well. (See cons below.)
This has a screen protector built into the top portion of the case. When installing, it seemed a little flimsy but once put together, it lays snug on the screen, works well and does not give any rainbow or wavy appearance. I also need to point out that I had another screen protector already on our Kindle and left it on for added protection. I figured if I had issues with the touch features, I would just open and remove my original. We ended up keeping our last on verse removing as all worked well that way. We have tested normal stylus and electronic stylus and did not find any issues. (Note – This was with device sensitivity setting on high which is our typical setting pre and post this case being used.)
Buttons which are covered work well and do not require excessive force to use.
Cut outs exist for your speaker locations to give you the full sound your device intended you to hear. No muffling or sound issues observed when the case was installed.
The camera cut out has a slight raise to it to allow further protection from scratches – damage if dropped or banged around when being used.

Notes
This case is not waterproof.
Not a con, however, part of me wants the headphone and charging port to be uncovered. I realize they are covered for protection; however, they are sometimes a hassle when flipping up and down to connect cords. (This would apply to any device with covered ports and therefore not a con.) As listed above under pros, this is also a pro as it keeps the ports protected more than if they were left exposed.

Wish List
Wish the kickstand was designed to be positioned both vertical and horizontal. As it is, you are limited to viewing in a landscape vs. portrait mode when using the stand. I do not feel this is a con as this was not advertised to be adjustable for both viewing modes.
Instead of having the plastic film screen protector being attached to the top of the case, I wish it came with a separate screen protector to install right onto your device. This way if the protector is damaged, you can just replace. For this case, you would need to cut out the built in thin screen protector if you want to replace or only use the case with the one you already have installed.

I wanted a heavy duty case for my Fire due to the fact I have gone through about 6 tablet/phablets in less than a year. I also know from experience a good screen protector is important. I had already picked out a top of the screen protector and was looking for a case, when I came across this case. It looked like what I wanted plus it had a built in screen protector! I ordered it. Then I worried about the quality of the screen protector until it arrived. I know from past experience a sub-par protector is not what you want. Your screen will end up with bubbles and smears and look worse than before you put it on. No worries with this though. It really is built in. Meaning when you remove the case it comes off with it. I personally like the quality of the screen protector. It does not inhibit my touch input at all and wipes clean to a clear screen every time. The rest of the case is heavy duty plastic with rubber edges I am confident will protect against dropping it. The stand on the back does work sufficiently, it does not have a height adjustment nor does work if your tablet is in portrait mode. That is the only criticism I have, that the stand could be better.

Has everything you need to protect your 8" Fire device. It fits perfectly. The stand insert in the back works beautifully. Even includes a screen protector. A well made product, at a reasonable price.

I feel like it might muffle the sound a little, and the screen is clearer without it (it has a built in screen protector that's kind of glossy). Another minus is that the kickstand is hard to open if you have no fingernails. But it's better than buying a new one every time my daughter drops it. Seems pretty indestructible. It's somewhat water resistant, but there's a camera hole that lets water in on the screen if someone puts it in the bath.

I'm on the got a lot and can be a bit of a klutz so needed a sturdy case that would stand up to the west and tear of my life. I almost always have my kindle with me either in my hands or in my purse. I decided to get this case because not only is it sturdy but also offers screen protection from items in my purse and dogs in my lap. It does not add a lot of weight or bulk to the kindle. So far this case has worked perfectly.

Once inside, the kindle is secure and won't easily come out. I know because we had to reopen it to take out the one dog hair that got in as we were putting it on and it was difficult to reopen.

I'm also pretty sensitive to and picky about textures The texture of this case is only a little rubbery around the edges and mostly hard plastic so I'm assuming it'd be easy to clean as well. And the stand on the back to keep it upright is nice but probably the easiest part to break as there is only a think stop of plastic keeping it open and steady.

So far overall it's definitely worth the money to keep my kindle safe.

I bought this for my 8 year old's Fire HD 8. So far so good. She has dropped it tons of times, on every type of flooring (including concrete) and this case has protected it. The kickstand is great for propping up the tablet to watch videos or make video calls. I also love that it has full protective covering on the screen to prevent it from getting scratched.
