I had an origami case for my original Paperwhite, so I was happy when one came out for the new 2018 Paperwhite. This has the same functionality as my earlier one. Decent quality, good magnet, turns the kindle on and off, folds flat to the back for holding the kindle on the train or whatever, not too heavy, etc.
But when I turned it into stand mode, the bottom left corner stuck down way too far, so that the kindle sat on the desk, tilted to the right about 10-15 degrees. That part of the case is flexible and I was able to push down on it to straighten it out, but it kind of wanted to spring back to the tilted position. After a bit of working it back and forth I think it will probably break in and sit flat after a while. If so, not a very big deal, but I don't remember having the same issue with my previous origami case.
The new Kindle Paperwhite is thin and light. The last thing I wanted was a case that made it thick and heavy.
Enter the MoKo case. It does a great job of protecting the Kindle without adding a lot of bulk and heft.
The origami cover neatly folds into a stand. I don't use that very often, so every time I want to use it, I have to re-learn how to fold the darn thing. They call it origami for a reason.
In full disclosure, I discovered MoKo cases years ago, and have been a fan ever since. You can't beat the combination of utility, quality, and price. I went right to the MoKo cases when I purchased my Paperwhite, and it's unlikely I'd go anywhere else. I've never been disappointed.
But once you do it's pretty cool. There is a little bit of a fold from the cover that doesn't necessarily keep it standing upright completely flush but it is standing upright. Like with all cases that have plastic corners and hardback cover there is additional thickness added to my Kindle now but the functionality of the cover+stand plus the confidence in knowing that my new Kindle is now a little more protected supersedes my desire for the original lightweight feel of it. Why is the black color $5 less expensive than the other colors?
I love these origami style cases, they're so great on planes. I can just put it on the tray table to read. I ordered the gray and it's nicer than I thought it would be. It has a textured finish almost like real cloth. It's definitely some sort of plastic but appears at a distance to be cloth. And what I like the most is the price, much cheaper than the Amazon case which is not an origami style. I do wish Amazon would make the origami style case.
I like this case. I finally broke down and bought a Kindle, and this case fits it well. It snapped in place, no problems, and I love when I open the case, my Kindle turns on. I know a lot of cases do that, but as someone who hasn't had an ereader in 5 or 6 years, it's nice to see.
I love the galaxy cover, it's pretty and purple, which is my favorite colour. and it's durable.

This case is pretty neat. I like the leather feel to it, it grips well in the hand. I also like the magnates in the cover that allow it to become a stand, as well as sleeping/waking the Kindle screen. You can't beat it for the price.
This is of good quality and it was a good deal for the item. I love the way that it folds to offer support and a "stand" so you can read easily. It fits the new paperwhite perfectly and I love it.
Awesome case. I do not use it for the yoga stand-alone feature, but for all my purposes it is fabulous. I can fidget with the magnet and hold the case comfortably when I read. I would recommend to anyone looking for a case for their paper white. With some maneuvering, the stand up feature DOES work, but don’t think it comes out of the package ready. Needs to be worn in.
I had to return the case, as I have had to return 3 other cases over the years, because Kindle insists on slightly changing the size of their Kindle Paperwhites constantly for some unknown reason, and the cases advertised in Amazon, although claiming to fit all Paperwhites, don't! It is not Moko's fault, it is Kindle's and Amazon's fault for unnecessary size changes and poor descriptions of the product. Apparently I will have to stick with an uncovered Kindle from now on.
I like this product--I used the predecessor on my previous paper white--it was great (5 stars). The difference is that the previous origami cover was absolutely steady. The new version, is a little tippy--which is a little annoying.
