First, in terms of sizing, in this instance, I bought a medium, but I own several size large as well. I have a 43 inch chest and the medium is just barely big enough to fit, while the large is a compressed but more relaxed. Going further, the medium is as small as I can fit not in the sense of actually getting it on(these will stretch like none other), but more in terms of it's length and arm fit. In terms of larges, they are compressive for me in the sense that they provide a next to skin fit but it's not compressive in the sense of actual compressed benefits some are seeking. Hopefully, that makes sense, but if anyone needs more help, I'll provide actual measurements for you if asked.
Material wise, it's a mix of traditional compressive material in feel and thickness with some mesh like inserts in strategic areas, that are for breathability.
Build quality is as good or better than Nike and Under Armour. I consider these stylistically to be most similar to Nike offerings. They're definitely more understated than Under Armour.
In action, these move well with the body, wick sweat quite well, don't retain odor, and are generally great.
I absolutely recommend these, especially because they are constantly on sale. They're a steal at sales prices. Give one a try!
Cheers!
These Vaporactive compression shirts - manufactured by the same company that makes the Enduracool towels - are well constructed with secure stitching (which means no unexpected seam rips when pulling on or off). The fabric is very soft - it is not the shiny, spandex-like fabric of other compression shirts. This is much more breathable and comfortable to wear. If you like your shirts tight-fitting, order your regular size or a size down. While I don't understand the chemistry behind the technology of these shirts, I know that they work well for cycling and running.
I happen to really like wearing these shirts (I own three) but if you prefer the super-tight spandex-like compression shirts, you may not be as happy with them as I am.
Love this tee. Fits great, true to size. The compression is perfect. You don't feel the seams like some other compression tees. Super smooth and looks great. Definitely buying more.
Love this shirts. I went back and bought more. Then tried again to buy more but the price had almost doubled. They still worth it at $12 . I hope they go on sale again. They feel tight, as they should, so it helps me with my work outs.
The shirt is thick.
