Loew-Cornell 390 Multi Bin Brush Organizer, 49 Hole

I've been collecting brushes for about 30 years, and I have a large collection that spans the spectrum from short and small to tall and huge. I have everything stored in this organizer, which replaced three others. I'm really seriously amused with it, and love it five times more than I love the fantasy of seeing my ex wife spontaneously combust.

I deducted one star, because when I started to paint a bit ago, I apparently picked up my entire brush collection by the upper frame member, and that is how I dumped all my brushes in the floor when the unit disassembled itself and fell into pieces. Save yourself a headache and use super glue to stick it together now.

Apart from that, this is a hugely convenient and tidy little way of bringing some order to your brush chaos.

It works like it does in the picture. Won't fit your larger handle brushes, but I knew that before I bought it. I like how it's basically a cup for your brushes, but it keeps them more controlled with the circular grid molds.

I actually grabbed one of the below to hold my larger brushes, and I'm quite satisfied with it. I'm sure any brand would do, just make sure it's wide, and has tall walls like this one.

It snapped together easily. I expected to need to glue things in place, but did not need the glue. My only issue was that it needs some type of wrap-around sides, as is visible in it's picture. It also would have been good if they had left the top center hole open for large-handled brushes.

I was worried when it arrived in pieces, thinking it was flimsy. However, it's absolutely brilliant. I used to think "oh, I'll save money by just putting my brushes in a glass jar"...however, brushes bunch up and it's difficult to find the one you want efficiently. This little piece of plastic is brilliant. It separates all the brushes-and it holds a LOT. My glass jar was getting too crowded- ALL those brushes in this and it barely touches the space!

This is well made and a handy way to store brushes. I would not buy this to use with pencils. It would not take very many sharpenings for a pencil to be too short to reach the top organizer. Even many pens are a bit short for this product. It works very well for paintbrushes.

I bought this to help with my husband's model painting. His brushes were always getting knocked off the table, cat would play with them, or our toddler would reach his little hands up and steal them. It was frustrating. Now he has this and it keeps them all contained nicely and makes it a bit easier to find the brush he's looking for. My only issue is that it seems very cheaply made and took some work to get it to stick together right. We may end up gluing it together. But, for the price we paid, it's a decent product and quite useful.

The individual compartments are big enough to use the outer ones to hold hobby pliers and knives and such as well. The only issue is the bottom being compartmentalized makes cleaning more difficult. to do it right you have to disassemble the unit which means taking all the tools and brushes out. I don't know if there is anything could have made it easier though from an engineering standpoint.

This brush organizer does the job I needed it to do, which is to keep my excessive number of brushes in one place and within reach. Although the description didn't say it, for some reason, I thought it spun. It does not. Just so you know. :) It also has a tendency to collapse if you try to put a top heavy brush in one of the slots. I would suggest gluing the posts to the base when you originally put it together.

The product arrived ahead of schedule. The product is just as described. This is a perfect gizmo for holding a number of brushes. The number of openings allow an artist to store either a small collection or their favorite use brushes easily. It's a cool idea with a practical use. I'd buy it again.

Seems just a little rickety but we're only using it for paint brushes and it works perfectly for that. Has been working great so far!
