Finally found a mouse where the adjustable sensitivity is where I need it to be. I have been going through the settings to get where I am happy and this offers enough customization on that front where it is almost perfect. If it were fully ambidextrous it would get 5 stars. I am the user that takes the mouse settings in Windows and maxes out the speed - that combined without how easy it is to adjust this mouse means that I finally get the experience that I want. I can easily slow it down for work and then move it back up for gaming.

Works great out of the box, but after customizing it with the downloadable software I couldn't be happier. It is just perfect. Feels soft and great on the hand, lights are pretty and customizable. The precision is awesome.

Let's get right into the Pros and Cons first.

+++ THE PROS +++
+ COMFORTABLE: I have big hands (wear size XL gloves) and I find it very comfortable to use this mouse. It is lightweight and all the button placements are easy to get to.
+ PROGRAMMABLE RGB LIGHTING: You can control the lighting of 2 things on this mouse; The mousewheel and logo together, and the strip around the mouse.
+ DPI, SPEED, ACCELERATION: This mouse has 5 settings for DPI, each programmable to any DPI setting between 50 to 5,000 in steps of 50. Each can be turned on/off for easy switching if you don't use a lot of DPI settings. Each DPI setting can also be set to its' own color for quick and easy distinction of setting.
+ PROGRAMMABLE BUTTONS: Each of the 6 available buttons can be programmed; Keyboard actions, Rapid Fire, Multimedia, etc...
+ SURFACE AGNOSTIC: No need to spend a mint on a special mousepad, this mouse works just fine and smooth on a bare table with no mousepad at all.

--- THE CONS ---
- ONLY 1 BUTTON FOR DPI: There's only a single button to cycle through the DPI settings, so if you accidentally skip past the one you want, you have to cycle through them all again. A 2nd button so you can go forward/backward would've been nice.
- NO COLOR CHOICE FOR RGB EFFECTS: You can only choose your colors if setting your LEDs to a static/breathing, single color. The "Cycle", "Spectrum", and "Loop" RGB Effects have no option to allow choosing customized colors.

*** FINAL THOUGHTS ***
This is a very good mouse. The RGB LEDs give it enough flash to look cool, the programmability and DPI give it the heart and muscle to handle whatever gaming and graphics you need and it's got enough buttons to handle what you need and not leave you wanting (sure that extra button for DPI would be nice, but it's definitely not a deal breaker). Well recommended.

I've used many a mouse, from back in the days when you had two buttons, no wheel and a ball to many buttons and an optical sensor.

Most of the times I wear them out, buttons stop working, or the last few I've used the wheel goes out, even if I try and clean it. One does not simply game with a janky mouse wheel. So far the wheel on this one has stayed true.

All the buttons respond just fine, wheel spins, no issues there.

The lights are neat, and the defaults are fine. Having the mouse wheel light correspond to the DPI setting is a nice touch.

I haven't tried the software ... I don't need to change the DPI options, the color default is fine, and if I need macros I have a Steam Controller for over-engineering my controller setups.

This is a good, comfortable mouse with fun lights, good responsiveness, and customization if you need it, and it's a reasonable price.

My son asked for a Razer mechanical keyboard for his birthday when he was 14, and after I was convinced that he *Needed* it, got him another piece every year, until he went to college. I have since gotten myself a chroma, not entirely necessary, but I like it. I have not, however, gotten all the accessories.

This mouse is being used on our family computer. It was very easy to set up. and made it more enjoyable as soon as it was plugged it. We have a logitech gaming keyboard, and some razer headphones (which will probably wind up in Our son''s hands eventually). I would say our needs are modest by comparison (and, in facty, they are) but his sister moved back home a few months ago, and having left everything she owned behind. os now using this computer.

The mouse is precise and cycles through 16.4 million colors without programming. I am not sure if we will be able to synch the equipment since it is all from different manufacturers, but given that each piece cost 1/2-1/3 of what I paid for my son's equipment, I can live with that.

Kinesis says that macrtos can be programmed. That is not something I have needed to do, but my daughter very well may after she takes over the computer in our living room.

Given that I haven't tested the limits on thios mouse, I can say that it is easy to set up and easy to use, produces a simple cycling light display without programming, is not just useable, but more accurate than the mouse we had been using,. and is a great buy if you are someone you know are looking for a little color without a large expenditure.

This is an excellent mouse for high precision work on Windows computers. If you couple this mouse with a Razer Goliathus Chroma mouse pad, you have the perfect combination of mouse and pad for graphics work or gaming. For those who are into vectored graphics using program such as Adobe Illustrator, this mouse is a major improvement over all previous mice that I have used. I mention Windows computers because the configuration app is only available for Windows operating systems. I use a Mac, but “cheated” by using Windows !0 and Parallels to program the mouse. I could then switch back to the Mac to use Illustrator. Also, while on Windows I also tried playing Grand Theft Auto to test the mouse for gaming applications. It works great, but frankly, is overkill unless you take advantage of the programmable buttons. The capabilities of this mouse are best realized for graphics applications.

I have large hands and what a delight it was to wrap my hand around this mouse for the first time. The Vektor has enough bulk to literally let my hand wrap around it with my fingers falling into just the right places. The edge of palm rested perfectly on the ridge of the mouse. It’s really a delight.

I tested it first on a wood table top, just for giggles. Normally that’s a killer for most mice: not the best surface.

Not so with the Vektor. Completely accurate control, as if it were on a specialty gaming mousepad. Remarkable.

I am more interested using the mouse with graphics, video and audio programs than for gaming.

The Vektor comes up at 1000DPI as its default. You can adjust the resolution very quickly with a button just behind the scroll wheel. Settings for 500, 1000, 2000, 3500 and 5000 DPI are available. The ease of switching DPI is very useful when working with some graphics and video applications.

In all, there are six programmable buttons. I haven’t gotten too far in programming them. You use the Vektor Configurator App to set button functions, play with the lighting, create macros and more. I haven’t experimented with the app much yet, but it looks very potent. I am especially interested in the button programming and macro capabilities.

You can adjust the lighting (16.8 Million colors), which isn’t a big deal for me, though I will say the default lighting schemes are pretty.

There are also four Onboard Shortcuts which set Mode, Color, Speed and DPI.

I know it sounds silly to get excited about a mouse, but this one just fits my hand perfectly, is tremendously sensitive and controllable and the easily adjustable DPI is a real boon.

I like it!

I'll admit that I am not a gamer, and that's not the reason I ordered this mouse. I am a graphic designer, vlogger and filmmaker. I love that this mouse lights up, well, because it looks cool. I love that, with arthritis, my hands cramp up less when I'm using it as it is a perfect fit for my hand. This is a programmable mouse, although I haven't tried it much. The top button allows you to change the mouse's various colors, makes me want to get a matching keyboard. Another thing I like about this mouse is its ability to work on various surfaces. I moved from a wooden desk to one on of those 6 feet folding tables. They have a bumpy top texture. I use a mouse from time to time, but in graphic design, when I'm not using my Intuos, I tend NOT to stay in the parameter of the mouse pad, so it's good to know that I can effectively use this mouse on the surface of my desk without the mouse pad.

This mouse is great! It has incredibly good ergonomics -- it surprised me at how well it fit my hand -- and it makes a long workday on the computer less strenuous. It is plug and play, unlike some other mice (and keyboards) I've purchased in the past year or so. The mouse is very responsive and I did not have to adjust it at all. And I don't always use it on ideal or consistent surfaces. While I'm not using it for gaming (yet), I use it for drafting in Revit, and I programmed a couple of the buttons to make my work go faster. The precision makes it so much easier to make changes or draw things right the first time. The changing colors on the side add some nice visual effects, and everyone knows which mouse is mine! I definitely recommend this mouse.

Love everything about this mouse. It's ergonomic, fits in your hand very comfortably. The multi-colored lights match those of my keyboard. Both are good for gaming in darkened rooms. The various dpi settings are a plus for gaming but 500 is just fine for most applications. It has programmable hot keys but that's a function I rarely use regardless of the hardware. Recommended!
