works as my wine display refrigerator. works great!
We received the unit a few days ago. So far it is as promised. Noise level outside the unit is acceptable--slightly less than your average refrigerator, around 40db in the surrounding area. Fine for a common area of the home. It cooled our wine down from 77 to 55 degrees pretty quickly. We have "tried out" a couple of thermo-electric units that seems to run for hours upon hours, never quite reaching the desired temperature--so we decided to go with a compressor based refrigerator that has more power and therefore, won't have to run as many hours (and require service/repair as quickly). The cooler looks great as shown. The refrigerant is R600--it is nontoxic--which is a big plus. When it is running, the top of the unit gets hot--so don't put any candles on it! We removed the second-to-last shelf (towards the bottom) to comfortably accommodate our different-sized bottles. We currently have 30 bottles in there, and could fit comfortably 5-7 more (Syrah, Grenache and Burgundy bottles take up more space than standard Bordeaux-type bottles). It is hard to find a good quality, long-lasting wine refrigerator--after much research--hopefully we have found the best one. Time will tell. Finally, I would give five stars for this cooler, however the seller was extremely slow to respond to my product inquiries and is unclear as to the terms of warranty (other companies have stated one year for cooler plus 3 years for compressor, for instance). Hopefully we won't have any problems in the future, in which case I suppose we would have to lean on Amazon to remedy the situation.
Runs quiet as it calms but it does get hot on the very top ( why ? ) i don't know,

I've had it for a couple weeks and so far I like it.
As other reviewers have said:
- The packaging is really lacking. Mine arrived with the box half opened which let the product bounce around and bust up even more of the packaging. Luckily mine didn't seem to have any damage, but I'd advise carefully examining upon arrival.
- You will be lucky to fit 50 bottles into this fridge if you have anything other than the most common "cabernet" type bottles. If you have other types of bottles like dessert wines or syrah/chardonnay bottles you WILL NOT be able to fit 50 bottles in. I was able to cram about 40 bottles in, albeit very in-elegantly.
That said, it is essentially silent when not "cooling", and pretty average volume level you might expect with a small refrigerator.
The ultimate test will be to see how long it lasts, but so far I'm happy with it.
After we plugged in our Kalamera Wine Cooler and filled it with wine, I had to put my ear up to it because it was so QUIET! Very pleased with the clean lines, attractive handle and front. Nice natural wood shelving. Got 40 bottles in and it is full. Checked the temp we set the wine cooler at with my refrigerator thermometer and it was right on. Well balanced. No vibration, no noise. Very very happy with this and would recommend to anyone.

I already have the slightly larger model, but didn't have enough room for two the same size but still wanted a Kalamera. This is really nice very quiet unit that has enough room on the top shelf for 7 champagne bottles! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause there isn't a chance in hell that you can fit 50 bottles in this, especially if you are getting higher dollar wines from Napa. I'm at about 34 bottles in this now and it's packed. But this is the case with ALL wine fridges, I really don't know what kind of bottles they are using to say 50. Other than that, these are great units.
The fridge came early, which was a great surprise. Easy to set up and it's quiet. It's holding a temp of 55 degrees and looks nice in our dining room. Only negative is that the door looks a bit crooked...only slightly. Also, there was a very small gap in the door seal at the top but it seems to have closed up. Now we just need to buy more wine! This is our second Kalamera wine fridge. The first one was too small so we gave it to our son. So far, very happy with this product.
Having read the reviews, I knew this refrigerator was unlikely to fit 50 bottles unless they were all small red wines. This seems to be an issue on all the reviews for all the wine refrigerators. I easily fit 42 bottles with at least 10 larger bottles in the mix. The refrig was easy to assemble and attractive to look at. It is not noisy and cooled quickly. I am excited to have a place I can keep all my nicer wine bottles.
Received on Jan. 18th, Plugged in, added bottles of wine and the temperature will not go below 64 degrees (temp of the room) trying to get it to 58. Will be returning item.
Update: started working 2 days later. Will keep as long as it’s working
Good wine fridge for very good price. This is my third wine fridge to own as these little ones don't seem to last more than 5-6 years, but first one with this brand.
Pros: It's the quietest one I've ever owned. Yes it makes some noise but you don't hear it across the house. I sit 10 feet from it watching TV and I don't hear it running. The wooden shelves are very nice. Looks great.
Cons: As advertised, cannot reverse the handle. Also, the temp display and controls are inside and just below the door frame so you have to bend over to read the temperature and open the door to change it. I prefer those to be on outside of design so I can easily read temperature (especially if the fridge malfunctions). Different style bottles fit but like most fridges, it's hard to pull out just one bottle in a packed fridge. May have to pull out a few to get to the one you like.
Final thought: To me, these cons are nitpicky and only way to get them resolved is to drastically increase your spending. What's important is temp control (holds steady), capacity, size, noise level, and price. This one fulfills those. Note, I've only been an owner for a month at the time of this review.
