This chest freezer was the right size not only in CuFt but in dimensions. We measured the space in between the refrigerator and the sink and this freezer was the perfect fit. Moved it into place and waited 24 hours before plugging it in. It got cold fast. I think it would have been better if they offered it in white at the price we paid for it but not a big deal. It's in the garage and no one but me and the Mrs. will see it. It arrived undamaged and was very easy to remove the freezer from the box. More to the point, remove the box from the freezer. Very happy with this purchase.
This is being written after two weeks of operating this 7.1 cu ft Igloo freezer - I'll try update after a year or so. The compressor is so silent that I initially thought I had a failed unit. The unit however, quickly cools down to freezer temperatures and once steady-state is reached the green Run light is not on more than half the time - though I have not actually timed it. The control knob, Power and Run lights are located at the lower right of the cabinet - very inconvenient. There is only one, small, interior food basket which means you'll have to rummage about to retrieve specific items stored elsewhere within the spacious interior. An additional - perhaps deeper basket would be very handy. There is no auto-defrost, meaning you'll have to manually defrost once or twice a year. Since we bought the unit primarily as back-up in case of failure of our home refrigerator-freezer - we don't plan to run this unit continuously. Given all that, we're very satisfied with the Igloo.
As a stay-at-home mom of 4, and couponer, I knew this would be the first income tax purchase my husband and I made this year. When my package arrived I was horrified by the abuse it went through to reach me. One side of the box was badly damaged and completely open and the cardboard on it was crunched to the point it was soft. The actual deep freezer itself is beautiful and sleek. The top part is kinda curved and not completely flat which gives it a more modern look. It has a smooth, matte, textured feel to it and doesn't feel cold to the touch on the outside. Its quite, light weight, and gets cold quickly. It's about the width and length of a good chest of drawers and fits perfectly in my apartment dining room. Now I am able to buy more meat and frozen food on sale during one shopping trip to last my family of 6 for an entire month plus! I'm so happy to finally own one and I highly believe I made one of the best choices in going with this one! Great buy!
Does what it says on the tin. I bought this to use as a keezer/lagering chamber for my homebrew and so far it has not disappointed. Without a collar, it will fit 3 pin lock style, or 4 ball lock style corny kegs plus a CO2 tank on the shelf. With a collar, I'm sure you could fit another ball or pin lock keg on the shelf with the CO2 tank. The unit itself is very quiet, I had to check the indicator light to make sure the compressor turned on the first time I hooked it up. The only issue I had with mine was from shipping, there was a minor dent near the control dial/indicator light panel, but it does not impact functionality and I'm not concerned with aesthetics. All in all, a decent value for a solid chest freezer.
having no freezer space in the fridge for my Condo I got this. I am doing the Atkins diet and needed extra freezer space to fit several weeks of food also the unit is quiet keeps items cold even for people that have a large 3500$ fridge having this for extra freezer space is not bad idea

Good quality freezer. A little damaged when we opened up the box but nothing crazy enough to bother bringing up an issue with the seller. This freezer is incredibly quiet!! You could put this freezer in your bedroom when you sleep and you'd barely hear it run. And energy sufficient.
The first one was damaged and Amazon took care of it. The second one is working great in my garage. Nice light and efficient chest freezer. A few dings, but all cosmetic and on the back areas. Still happy with it, bought the extended warranty.
Works famously, was delivered fast and it's BLACK! WOO HOO!
