This fan was used to replace an ancient over the range microwave/fan. The problem was, we were not putting in a new microwave in that location but we didn't want to have to install cabinetry to conceal the open area. So the old microwave/fan was removed, the wall was repaired and painted, and this range hood was installed. The flexible ductwork was easy to attach and the cover conceals it nicely. The lighting from this range hood is a big improvement over what was there before. The only negative comment is that the fan is a little loud, even in the lowest setting. But, on the plus side, it works!
Affordable, love the look, and lights provide plenty of light even in my dark kitchen. Fan is a little noisy even on low. I like the fact that it plugs in, although power cord is super short. You'll need an extension cord unless you have a plugin near the ceiling. We have beams in our ceiling and was able to easily hide the power and extension cords behind one of them.
Working well 8 months strong so far. I wonder when I should replace the filters????
