Absolutely amazing. I was raised on fresh coconut water in the islands and this is the real deal. For best flavor dont drink it ice cold and you miss out on that full bodied flavor. I got scared over some of the reviews on freshness but there was no need to worry. We took it with us to the beach and camping this summer and enjoyed it immensely. This stuff is slowly reducing my soda intake. I feel healthier and have lost weight. I never realized that each 8 oz soda contains right about the max recommended daily sugar intake!! Please don't change a thing...please!!!
I have been buying this product for about a year now. My daughter buys it as well. I live outside of San Antonio and she lives in Dallas. We have a hard time finding this product in Texas. Most of the time the stores sell it in cans or small carton sizes. (which is not economical.) I have NEVER had a quality issue or packaging issue. The product is always yummy and consistant. As for packaging...the box it arrives in is almost overkill heavy duty...But I'm grateful. I keep these stored in my kitchen pantry, 69-74 degrees...not in a hot garage or varied temp storage or laundry area. This is a food product.
I hope Amazon always sells this in the large 6 carton package. It keeps my family healthy and saves me money!
I've always enjoyed coconut water in summer, and had never had any problems with this product. However the most recent delivery arrived with the cardboard box soggy - like it was drenched in liquid. Initially I thought it was rained on, but when I opened it, I realized 1 cartoon was punctured during transport. All the coconut water leaked out! It's a good product, but should be better transported and encased.
I will admit that I just can't drink this stuff by itself, and need to mix it with something like orange juice because it's slightly salty, but that's exactly what coconut water is supposed to taste like (I still remember my surprise as a kid getting real coconut water at my grandma's in Florida). If you were expecting it to taste like coconut, it really does not. Actually, it's not terrible, but other brands were either awful or completely undrinkable. So why did I rate this 4 stars? It's extremely healthy, stacks very well in the refrigerator, has a very easy to open spout, and gives me the potassium kick I need to keep my heart healthy. Studies have shown that the ratio of potassium to sodium in your diet is very important, and it should be either 1:1 or higher. It's difficult to do that unless all you do is eat fruit and sweet potatoes all day long, and that gets boring fast.
I ordered this product a couple of times and I started to love it. The taste is the closest to coconut water without the plastic taste or smell. It worth the price tag.
Pros:
-Taste like real coconut water
-Good solid refreshing feeling after drink it
-No plastic taste/smell of the container
Cons:
-The opening part is a little bit insecure and causes a leak when you open it with a lot of force. You can overcome this by pouring it straight to a big glass or bowl.

Description
Not so long ago, you had to use a machete if you wanted a sip of pure coconut water. We’ve taken the machete out of the equation, which is good, because those things are dangerous. Now all that’s left is Mother Nature’s most hydrating, refreshing, vitamin- and mineral-rich nectar. Vita Coco is never made from concentrate. That means we pick, crack, and pack fresh young coconuts directly at the source. After the coconuts are cleaned, the delicate water inside is flash pasteurized (and occasionally mixed with all-natural fruit puree) then poured into a shelf-stable Tetra Pak. The entire process from tree to Pak doesn't exceed 72 hours. We hear the end result is a lot like sticking a straw in a coconut.
Currently... There are only 2 major coconut water brands out there. This and the zico. I never tasted zico so can not really compare but we consume a lot of vita coco. When my wife was pregnant, this is all she drank as water made her nauseous. She even insisted on doing our dishes using this but thankfully I was able to pursuade her otherwise. I drank a lot of coconut water when I was young (back in my home country) and I will say that this tastes like authentic coconut water. I never liked the Goya coconut water because it is sweeter than it should be.
This is just wonderfully tasty stuff. It is not thick but not thin it has an amazingly smooth taste. I am not a water drinker yet since I have found this.. wow, I drink so much more. It's not so high in calorie and it overall seems very good for me. Very glad to have found this.
VitaCoco is delicious, but my preferred coconut water is sourced in Thailand. For that, try Taste Nirvana or Whole Foods brand. You will notice the difference!
Ive been drinking coconut water my whole life and seriously LOVE the stuff. When I first found VitaCoco all i could think was these guys are geniuses and somehow managed to create a coconut drink that actually tastes like the real coconut. When I saw amazon was selling the product in boxes of 6 i thought, "Even better, its shipped right to my door." That is until i received my second shipment and found a box full of sticky Vita Coco packages with two of the boxes open and half empty. I decided it would be apt o return the boxes, but for whatever reason, that is not in the Amazon return policy.
Conclusion:
Love the product, but the shipment packaging sucks and Amazon wont allow you to receive credit or return the broken boxes.
I LOVE this coconut water! Vita Coco remains consistent with its flavors. I drink about 1-3 liters per day especially throughout my pregnancy and now postpartum. I’m glad it’s available on amazon and for a reasonable price. The shipping was also fast which I love! I recommend getting this 6 pack of 1 liter containers. Save yourself a trip to the grocery store!
