Loud, awesome bass in outdoor mode, basically indestructible. Good battery life too. If you’re only using for indoor listening maybe go for something else, but if you want portable LOUD sound for every possible condition the Soundboks 2 is great
Pros:
• Lighter than I expected it to be.
• Extremely loud and clear.
• Battery life is astoundingly amazing!
• Input availability are various and work well.
• Durabilty is exceptional.
• Secure Bluetooth with no one being able to kick you off. Once you’re locked in and playing, it becomes invisible. There is no memory or auto connect. You manually connect which is nice in this case. You don’t want to turn on your Bluetooth and it auto connect to something you don’t want and repeatedly have to try to work a way around it.
Cons:
• If you look at the details of the assembly, mine had the screws assembled misaligned.
• The battery I received was faulty, but still functional. There was a rattling noise as if there were loose pieces inside. I contacted customer service and they replaced my battery quickly. They responded with the highest level of professionalism and friendliness. It took about two weeks for me to receive a replacement battery after inspection.
• The Bluetooth 3.0 is extremely limited by distance at 10-15 feet. That is WITH a line of sight.
• The static/hiss is common in a lot of speakers, but for some reason it is very loud in mine.
• Bass levels start to peak out at higher volumes.
• At max volume the audio losses it’s clearity.
Overall:
• Such an amazing speaker! I love music and I love having something like this being portable. Not relying on an external power supply is such a plus. I definitely received 80 hours of playback at mid level volume. It lasted me all weekend. It sounds great at level 8-9. After that it becomes slightly distorted. To an audiophile you definitely notice it. To a common person who wants to rock and roll, you’ll never notice it. You’ll only notice the impressive sound this thing is outputting. There are a lot of areas they can improve on. Quality Control would be one of them. If you’re hesitant on pulling the trigger on this purchase, don’t. I waited two months and watched YouTube videos and read reviews. If you don’t have a sound system in your car, all you need is this! With the right set up you can get the best sound for your car if you’re on a budget.
I’ve owned numerous sound setups for beach , bbq’s etc. including multiple ice chest stereos i’ve Constructed Over the years. I purchased the soundboks to see how it would perform.
This thing performs . Instant party starter and super clean and loud sound. Purchase one.
This speaker is meant to be used outdoors. I used it indoors and was not too impressed at low volumes. HOWEVER, if you turn down the volume on the speaker and turn the volume on your source (eg. phone) to max, then you get a great bass response and it sounds a lot better. This really shines though when you bring it outside and crank it up. I had a beach gathering the other weekend and people absolutely loved it. It started people dancing immediately. This played so loud even despite all the wind and ambient noise. The bass is so impressive for outdoors which is very hard to achieve. Also, it played at near max volume for about 3 hours with bass heavy music and the battery it is still over 60% full. Great work on this second model.

THIS SPEAKER IS INCREDIBLE. A real head turner at the beach. Literally started a beach party where ever I planted this thing. People will nestle themselves near you as you play music. You literally become a DJ. One of my best purchases yet! It's expensive but its safe to say that you wont find anyone else with this bad boy.
I've looked at these units since the original soundboks launched. I was probably like every one of you guys wondering why in the hell I would spend so much on a speaker. Well let me tell you this, if you have made it this far then you should probably go ahead and pull the trigger. Even though I've only had it a few days and I've yet to really test it out I can tell without a doubt that quality is the number one priority in building this speaker. The speaker is a little bit bigger than I expected but also lighter than I expected. Everything about the soundboks is quality, even down to the knobs. Sound quality, and my opinion is great through the whole range of volume settings. Other speakers may be loud but get very distorted at high volume which is not the case here. I will say that I'm not sure of their claim of 122 dB, but it's still plenty loud for me. If you're in the market for a portable Bluetooth, battery-powered speaker that can definitely bring a party wherever you take it, then this is it. On a scale of 1 to 10, it comes in at 11!
Exceeds Expectations. Excellent sound quality, projection, and bass at lower volumes is impressive. Easy to connect, easy to move, charging indicator is a nice upgrade. We use this daily, cannot recommend it enough!
For a battery operated speaker, it does produces as much sound quality as those AC/DC powered speakers. My favorite thing is amount of bass it can produce.
The cons are it is big and heavy, something you must expect which is ok. But the downfall was the bluetooth connection is not very strong and kept getting disconnect frequently over 6 hours+ of usage, and I have noticed the bluetooth connection distance is very limited compare to those cheaper bluetooth speakers on the market. It felt almost as if it has a cheap and low quality bluetooth module installed(mass production-like). Better off using the AUX function. I have to depend on bluetooth a lot because I play music off my phone at work so.
Overall score I would give 8/10. There are still more room for improvement yet.
Great buy. The sound quality at such a high volume level was incredible. It was very easy to carry, although I'm probably going to buy the Soundboks backpack as it won't fit on our current dolly. We were using an ION Road Warrior but wanted more clarity of sound, this is the winner.
If my house was on fire and I could only save my Soundboks or my wife, hold on still thinking of which one I'd save.
Ugh, this is so hard to choose. I need more time.
