Swingline 3 Hole Punch, Hole Puncher, SmartTouch, 20 Sheet Punch Capacity, Low Force, Black/Gray (74133)

The best way to sum up this hole punch is simple: It's the Cadillac of hole punchers.

Look, I'd never thought I would be sitting here ranting and raving over a hole puncher. It's a hole puncher, right? Wrong. It's Swingline so you know it's quality. It has a little ruler on it, so you can measure your paper or use it for straight edge. This hole puncher will punch holes and punch holes through paper like none-other. What about those little messy round piece of paper left over? Ha! No more with your baller-status Swingline Hole punch. I've went through reams and reams of paper and still haven't seen one single leftover circle escape the grasp of this high end hole puncher.

Buying this hole puncher, at first, it was something I regretted. I had buyer's remorse and almost canceled my order initially. It's a little on the expensive side, obviously. But from the moment I opened up the package, and laid eyes on this beautiful peice of American craftsmanship, I knew I had made the right choice.

Before long, I was the envy of the office. Even the guy going through his mid-life crisis and recently bought a high end BMW, -- he was jealous of this gangster no holds bar hole punch. This is a hole puncher for ballers and shot callers. If you want to go and buy one of those weak hole punches from Wally World for $3, go ahead you pleb, but if you want to become an overnight executive -- get this hole punch --- If you do, all of your dreams will come true.

A good hole puncher with proper weight to it. After many years of use on our old simple 3-punch hole, we have decided to upgrade to this particular heavy duty product and we are happy that we made this move. Everything works great except two things.
1. Plastic chip tray at the bottom has a little opener for easy access to the chips to remove, however, because there are some gap, it leaks the chips and it's little annoying.
2. It has 5 rubber stoppers at the bottom of the chip tray however the chip tray is curved upward so these rubbers are no use.
The punch moves around on top of the desk too easily if your desk has sleek surface.

I have a weird obsession with office supplies, (ya I know). Any I lost my small 3 hole punch moving. Was so sad and defeated by having to use a one hole punch for tons of papers, either that or just shoving the paper into the binder and making awful holes. Oh good just thinking of it raises my anxiety.
This 3 punch is PERFECT. 20 pages at once?! CHECK! Convenient and easy to use I don't have to sit there with my one hole and try to jam that through more than 2 pages ( which of course I did try). It was a rough few weeks, but can finally rest easy knowing I have this for all my punching needs!

Recommended.........I mean unless you hate office products (which means your the devil), and would love a stressful time using any other product!

Works great and looks good on desk. You cant ask for more from a reasonably priced product than to do it's job and to look good. The reduced effort is not a marketing scheme it is easier to punch through 10 sheets than the old model that this replaced. The Swingline Desktop Hole Punch, Precision Pro, 2 - 3 Holes, Adjustable Centers, 10 Sheets (74037) has adjustable punch settings and is great if you don't use it too much. Eventually the adjustable punches become loose and have to be constantly re-tightened. Also this model has more leverage making it take less force to do the same job.

Opened the box for this and was immediately impressed with the quality. This is super sturdy and SO convenient. It really works as described. You delivered above and beyond with this one, Swingline. I don't know how I did without this... seriously.

I honestly look forward to hole punching now. I used to hate dealing with those annoying half, punched holes that I would carefully try to finish cutting off and instead end up ripping the whole paper. ARGH! So frustrating. But thankfully that's behind me now. This hole puncher is actually really easy to push down on, fits many papers, and doesn't spill paper circ-lies all over the flour. Wish I could give this a million stars.

When I ordered this, I was concerned that this product might not measure up because of the lower price compared to other 40+ page, highly rated hole punches, but decided to save the money and ordered the Swingline over the Bostitch and the Carl models that I looked at. Today, it was used to prepare a number of appliance and tool owner's manuals for a 3 ring binder, including a 45 sheet (90 page) manual. It cut the holes with little effort, so I am pleased with the product. The owner's manual wasn't on very heavy paper. The booklet barely fit in the paper guide, but easily cut the holes all the way through with only a hint of a ragged hole on the bottom. Using regular printer paper, this will probably be 35 to 40 sheets. I also cut another manual of 20 sheets, and it cut like soft butter, and clean as could be. I hope this helps if you're comparing to pricier 40 page models.

This hole punch would have gotten a 5 star if it wasn't for the tray that catches the punches. The tray needs to lock in more securely so we can put it in or drawer without the tray slipping. I purchased it for the office since we have to punch a lot of paperwork on the shift I work to keep the other shifts running smoothly. After being frustrated with too many garbage punchers I decided we would get our own. Now it's being taken out of our private drawer and is being used by other shifts since everyone knows it will work perfectly every time. It's great for punching through reinforced plastic strips, never sticks, and easily punches through different paper weights. Recently a float person suggested we recommend this hole punch to or administrator for all the floors. So the hole punch probably deserves a 5, it's just that we can't hide it well enough without leaving a trail of dots.

I got this hole punch for my newly set up home office. I feel more important now... now that I have to take care of paperwork on top of what I do. But it's part of life, and I requested Mr. Swingline to join me in this new phase of life. He only has one job during his whole existence, and that is to punch 3 holes at once without having to ask again. And voila! He does his job! What a partner.
BUT the more I got to know him, the more paper I left him, the more I noticed that he was flawed. Sure, he still would punch his 3 holes effortlessly... I didn't have to push too hard. With my other ex's I had to sometimes put my whole body weight to punch their recommended "max". But with Mr. Swingline, life was relatively a breeze. But when I began to add more paper to my files, more paper to my binders, I started noticing that the stacks were not perfect ... the holes among the many other sheets were slightly offset. The sheets in the binders were offset. I started realizing that I wasn't placing the paper into him exactly how he wanted it.
"But how?" I asked.
"Like this" he said, lazily, without really giving me a straight answer.
"You mean along this indents?"
"Yeah, sure. I guess that helps, right?"
"But they're not aligning like the last few sheets. Why can't you be consistent?"
"Why can't you be happy with what you have" he quipped back.

So now I'm left figuring him out, hoping that one day it was me all along, trying to be the better person and not immediately point fingers.

I have two of these - one for work and one for home - since I'm a law nerd. Works great, and the measure stick stays put so long as you don't cram it in a drawer. Sturdy, doesn't take a lot of effort to work, and the cushion on the top keeps your hand from getting a blister if you use it as much as I do mine.

Had to punch through appliance user manuals for a binder. Hole puncher worked extremely well with minimal effort of force. I was really surprised how easy this was able to go through that many pages. The punch pegs are in a fixed position, they are not adjustable. Adjustment was not needed in my project, the manuals all lined up perfectly in the binder. No chads fell out of the catcher either.
Very good product.
