Plastex Marine Vinyl Black Fabric by The Yard,

After our dog chewed up the seat of our Polaris Ranger, we found out the repair was going to cost $200 at a local upholstery shop. We decided to find the materials and repair it ourselves. The repair shop uses marine vinyl, so that's what we looked for. We were surprised at how inexpensive the fabric was. We purchased two yards of it and also purchased a long piece of upholstery foam to perform the repair. I had read other reviews that said the folding of the marine vinyl for shipping had caused it to stick together, but we did not have this issue. It was in perfect shape and when it was unfolded, there was no damage at the creases. It was in excellent shape. We had to do a bit of cutting and sewing to get the right size for our seat, but the fabric went through my sewing machine with ease. We placed the fabric over the foam positioned on the seat frame and stapled the fabric underneath it. There is a slight bit of give to the fabric, but not much. When we were finished, the seat looked professional. I mean, this stuff looks GOOD. I would definitely recommend it for projects such as this. I'm very satisfied with it. It's a great product and very inexpensive!

I bought 1 yard to recover a motorcycle seat. The vinyl has white fabric backing and no strong odor that I didn't already anticipate. I received 54" X 57" of material rolled on a tube about 60" long in a long box. The roll had a sticker that said "Jackpot you got the end of the bolt!" which I assume is why my piece was sent on the tube. That was a nice bonus as there are no creases to smooth out and I probably got a slightly bigger piece too. As for the material and its suitability for recovering a seat I will find out later when I remove my existing original OEM Yamaha seat cover and compare the materials - I'll weigh 2 pieces of the same size for comparison and update this review. So far I'm happy with the material I received.

Just as described, just didn't like that I had to pay about $8 just to ship it. $7 is cheap for the material, shipping just killed it. But, it does work well. I recovered a 2009 Honda rancher seat in less than 30 min. I still have enough material to cover one more seat. It does beat paying $100 to Have someone recover it for me.

Nice stuff heavy duty not very stretchy but a good match for a John Deere seat took off the old cover put on half a yard of this had enough to do two seats with 1 yard of fabric. Spray adhesive 3M super 77 reattach the black trim piece and a very functional All be it less than perfect cover.

Purchased to recover boat seats. Very happy with the quality. I had no problem sewing it. Shipping was a little slower than expected but not bad.

I bought a yard of this vinyl to replace the seat cover on my Yamaha Grizzly. When I got it out of the box it was on a cardboard tube and was bigger than expected so I folded it in half, cut it and got enough material for 2 covers in case the first one rips or cracks, I have a backup. I put it in the seat and stretched the crap out of it to make sure it fit tight and stapled it on. Looks like a professional job for only $4!!!!

My motorcycle seat tore i only have couple more months to Ride before I have to put the bike away. Price check a new one for my model they wanted $220+ bought a huge slab of Vinyl from these guys cheap, Fabricated my seat myself for under $15 and it looks/feels Brand new, I'm stoked. Thanks Marine Vinyl for coming through!

This worked good for replacing the old ripped black vinyl seat cover on my old exercise weight machine.
I removed all the old staples that held the old cover to the seat's plywood and foam cushion.
I cut the size needed from the new vinyl black fabric (less than 1/2 of it) and then stretched and stapled it to the plywood base bottom.
I had also bought a cheap staple gun and staples assortment for this job, ended up using 3/8" staples and it all came out nice.

I needed to replace the writing surface of a late 1800s cylinder top walnut desk. This vinyl product had the right color and texture to comple the job and retain its antique appearance
