This is a nice set of 100 skeins of floss and some essential tools to start embroiderying. The floss has some sheen, although it is not as shiny as DMC. The floss is a little thinner than DMC as well. The colors are very pretty and would be useful for many projects. I recommend this kit for those just beginning embroidery to use for practice. It is a great price for the quantity.
This a great kit for someone like me who is just starting out cross stitching, and is teaching themselves. The one thing I have run across that I am slightly disappointed in is that the scissors are a little dull and make cutting the floss a bit difficult.
GREAT for when you first start out. I just got into cross-stitch and this set is so handy. You'll still need to buy a hoop and extra spindles since they dont come with this, but this is an increadible item for what you pay for.
I purchased the thread to match the bobbins and it has worked out very well. Great for some small projects or to make those repairs.
The colors match just about all the regular thread in the stores. So much easier than winding your own.
