I absolutely love No Cow Bars! I have been buying these since I first saw them on CVS shelves 4 years ago! What separates these bars apart from all others is that the fat content is lower than most, which is SO RARE. The Lemon only has 2.5 grams of fat! Also, they all have zero grams of sugar! These qualities are so hard to find in a vegan protein bar especially. I like that they are sweetened with natural erithitol and not sucrulose or xhilitol. Plus, the taste is phenomenal!
The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am slightly disappointed about the recent recipe and branding 'tweaks.' The new formula resulted in higher fat content of the bars (still relatively low, but not uniquely low). Also, there are less yummy chunks in the new bars due to the brand wanting a smoother texture.
Overall, I definitely recommend!
Strange texture and flavor at first but after eating a couple I grew to really like them (I ordered the peanut butter chocolate chip). They definitely aren't the most tasty bar I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. I generally eat at least one bar a day to hit my macros and the macro content and ingredients in these is the absolute best I've found in a vegan bar. I genuinely began to crave the melt-in-your-mouth consistency with crunchy chocolate bits after a few days...enough to where I just pulled the trigger and bought 2 more boxes of different flavors. The Pro Bar Base bar has a much better flavor (almost sinfully good) with very similar macros, but it's almost twice the amount of calories and is soy isolate based rather than pea/rice protein blend of the No Cow. I'd avoid the soy and go with these No Cow's if you're going to eat a bar regularly, but that's just my two cents.
I have bought both the lemon meringue and raspberry truffle. I love them both! I'm buying the blueberry next. I usually eat dairy and typically buy Quest bars, but my nursling is allergic to milk protein. These are a good substitution and even after weaning my baby, I'll continue to buy them. They are a bit chalky (every vegan bar that I've tried has been chalky) and high in fiber, so I recommend drinking with a full glass of water.
After falling in love with fitness but not with the stomach-pain inducing dairy protein bars out there, I began looking for a vegan alternative that would help me satisfy my goals. No Cow Bars, which are relatively low in calories and have upwards of 20 grams of protein, and are free from gluten, soy, dairy, and GMOs. No Cow also offers protein cookies, and even "fluffbutters," which are essentially dessert-flavored nut-butters that are infused with extra protein and are low in sugar. Ever since the first time I tried these, I have been hooked! I have one practically everyday. There are many interesting flavor combinations, my favorites are easily the peanut butter chocolate chip bar, the chocolate fudge brownie bar, and the chocolate coconut bar. If you are looking for something without chocolate, the lemon meringue pie is also delicious! Each bar also contains pea protein crumbles or cacao nibs that add a nice crunch. While not everyone may love its grainy texture, I am personally a big fan of them. I buy these in bulk frequently as they are a staple in my everyday diet!
I've been eating Quest bars for about a year but have been looking for something with plant protein instead. Others have too much sugar and/or carbs. These are the only ones I've found with similar specs to the Quest bars and no whey. Looks like I'm switching s flavor is decent. Good enough anyway. I'm eating them for protein, not as a candy bar replacement. If you want great variety of favors and taste, back to Quest.

Description
Our #1 bar for a reason (or two). Peanut butter and roasted cocoa nibs deliver big flavor with only 1g of sugar. One bite will make you a believer.
These bars have quickly become my go to before any workout. I used to eat a lot of Rx Bars but they would always get stuck in my teeth and made it really hard to eat right before working out. No Cow bars pack a lot of protein, and keep me going through whatever I am doing whether its CrossFit, a day of skiing, or a long run. I started with the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, but am on a Chocolate Brownie kick lately -- I LOVE it now with the new formula!
These are soft and chewy and I've actually acquired a taste for them now. I used to be a Quest bar junkie but it took a toll on my stomach and now whey goes down hard. Vegan protein is much easier to digest for the most part and these bars compete head to head with Quest. I just wish there were more flavors.
Two bars is a complete meal substitute. I've lost 35 pounds in the last year and this is an important part of my diet. I've gone through dozens of protein/health bars, I'm hooked on these and I have a dash button for them.
The peanut butter chocolate chip and the chocolate have great taste and texture. 20 grams vegetable protein and 18 grams fiber. No funking after taste. The also fill you up so you're not hungry 2 hours later.
I have tried all three flavors. My absolute favorite is the peanut butter cookie dough, then the blueberry cobbler and finally mint chocolate chip. I love them all. I've been following IIFYM and these bars give me the protein I need on the go. They also work as a healthy snack.
I was looking for a protein bar that was not whey based as I have a dairy allergy. No Cow Bars satisfy my sweet tooth. To some people, the texture might seem a bit odd. It was a first, but it grew on me quickly. I just think these are excellent alternatives for those with dairy-free diets. I hope they come out with more flavors!
***Update: My new favorite bar is Lemon Meringue Pie. I'm ecstatic that they came out with new flavors. Now I can stock up and have a variety in my rotation. I love that these bars are high fiber. This is great if you're counting net carbs.
I don't know what the old product tasted like since I'm a new customer, but I really like the taste of the peanut butter chocolate chip bar. I like this flavor more than mint chip or the peanut butter cookies. I also think the ingredients are good choices, ND I don't taste a strong stevia taste like I do with Quest products.
At only 3 net carbs and no whey-induced insuin spike, these make it very tasty to stick to my keto diet. I recommend it.
