I absolutely adore this yarn. It works up beautifully and the blend is absolutely fantastic. I really can't get over the gorgeous colors available. However, I have noticed some extreme color transfer onto my hands when working with this yarn. I first noticed when my white crochet hook started to turn pink, then realized the back of my phone case had big red fingerprints. I was wearing black, but I'm sure it would noticably rub off against lighter clothes during the crochet/knitting/crafting process. Once my project is finished I will wash it by itself, so hopefully it won't transfer to my clothes when I wear it.

Be prepared for splits when it comes to this cotton blend yarn. The colors are pretty and they change quickly to make a nice look. The twist of the strands are very loose. Not tight at all.

The sleeve suggests to use a J Hook. No, that would’ve soooo loose.

I used a G 4.25 MM in my sample piece. It is nice.

I think I will combine this with some scrubby yarn and make dishclothes.

UPDATE: I made a dishcloth and blended it with cream cotton yarn. The color did not run when wet (Meadow) It also did not transfer to my fingers while working with it. Perhaps the colors in Meadow will not bleed...?

I would buy this again.

Overall, I really like this yarn in the Whipped Cream color. (I saw the other colors in person at Walmart, and I didn't like how diluted they were. If there had been some saturated cottony shades I would have ordered them. The photos I've seen here by Lion Brand are not accurate, so unless you are looking for really muted colors, you'll be disappointed with the actual yarn.)

I have used this yarn to knit, crochet and weave with, and I do have some pros and cons.
PROS:
1. Very soft. It's got a matte finish, so it's more plush soft than silky soft.
2. The Whipped Cream color is gorgeous. A bit warmer than an off-white with a grey base, this slight buttery tint has a rich effect.
3. Lots of yardage (200 grams or 7 ounces, 358 meters or 392 yards).
4. A nice dk (#3) weight, which I prefer to a worsted (#4) weight when knitting color work or lacy stitch patterns.

4. Despite being a blend, you can block your work (wet blocking or spray bottle, not steam, you'll melt the poly)

5. The polyester content means that your finished object will be much lighter-weight than if you used 100% cotton.

CONS:
1. It's splitty. (That's the parlance in the fiber community :) Despite the 50% cotton, 50% polyester content, the four plies are only lightly twisted, so crocheting especially will untwist these S-twist plies and lead to splitting.

2. You can feel the polyester content a bit. Some blends like Scheepjes Whirl have a similar fiber content, but the synthetic is silkier. Some nylon, superfine acrylic, and viscose from bamboo can be much more silky-soft.

Overall, I think it's a good value and a quality yarn.

Love how easy it was to work with, but didn't like how the color wears off onto my fingers as I worked with it. I crocheted a summer sweater and even after washing it, the color rubbed onto the crossbody purse I was wearing.

Seriously the best yarn you will EVER buy. Once you buy it and work with it you will know what I mean. I am so in love with this yarn. Lion brand amazes me everytime thry come out with a new yarn. How can they top this one? But thry probebly will

I love this yarn. The price was awesome. It's light and has a good feel. Color scheme is beautiful. I find it easy to work with, even though the strands are a little loose. But after the first few rows, you're used to it. No complaints. According to the label you can wash this in the washing machine and even put it in the dryer.
This review reflects my own amd unbiased opinion.

Wished I liked the combo colors, sturdy cotton yarn.

I love this cotton. I use all kinds of cotton yarn. This Lion Brand comfy cotton is by far one of my favorites. It is soft enough to make a next to skin item out of it, or a market bag. Ive done both and it held up great. Lion Brand 24/7 is a bit sturdier, also a good product. I will pay a bit more to get either of them compared to other brands. There are other good brands out there, but the 2 i mentioned are in my top 5.

I made an afghan with this cotton yarn. It turned out beautiful. It was for a friend and she loves it. It's soft and when made into something large, has good weight to it. It will keep you warm.

Picture and description of the product very true and accurate . Each skein was individually in plastic and packaged nicely.
