This product is alright, however I do have a few issues with it. Some of my needles came slightly bent. They bent back into a straight piece fairly easily, however, that makes me concerned as to the durability of the needles.
Pros:
- Plenty of needles to work with, the varying sizes allow you to work with vary fine yarn up to reasonably bulky yarn.
- The carrying case is nice, although I see no reason to carry all of the needles with you, but the option is there for those who'd like to.
Cons:
- The material is most likely not the best considering how easily they are bent.
- The needles themselves are not very comfortable to hold for a long period of time due to the thin widths of the needles.
Edit: The seller directly contacted me after my review and provided a solution to all of the issues I had. They have very fast, kind and courteous customer service.
UPDATE: taking 1 star off for defect...one of the hooks, the 4mm green one, is offset to the right as you can see in the picture. The hook should be in line with the “4mm” marking on the center it. This makes it quite uncomfortable after using it for any period of time and this is a size I use often.
It’s still a nice set and can’t beat the price even though one hook is not manufactured properly. The case is a nice way to keep the hooks all in one place.
These just arrived in the mail, and I was a bit nervous because I purchased before reading the reviews, but I am giving a 4 out of 5 (I haven't used them yet). There were some repeat offenses in the reviews that I will address here: 1. there are no sharp edges in my set (that was a complaint I saw) 2. all the itty bitty silver crochet hooks are different sizes (that was a complaint: you have to look close) 3. And sure they are not stamped with the US letters, but come on, most skeins of yarn will tell you both the letter AND mm size and you could always write in or on the case with a magic marker so you don't have to look it up. This was a great buy at a stupidly low price. WIN!
What a bargain! I have purchased seven or eight of these kits so far because you can't beat the price. The first one was ordered for my mother and when everyone she crochets & knits with saw it -- they wanted one too! I am not the crocheting professional, but my mother is. She continues to sing her praises to this kit and uses it daily. For the price of the kit, you can get one, two, maybe three hooks but not all of them... here you get them all. Her only complaint is that the hooks are not marked with the size number, only marked with metric measurements. The solution to her only gripe was easily remidied by searching the web for a crochet hook size chart and putting that with the kit.
These aren't the best crochet hooks out there, but they're excellent for the price! Perfect for a beginning crocheter who doesn't have a lot of hooks yet, or an experienced crocheter looking to fill the gaps in their collection. I especially love the carrying case, since I have a tendency to lose my hooks if I don't keep track of them.

Didn't expect such a nice leather case for how cheap the cost was! Definitely pleasantly surprised! Hooks are well-rounded and smooth (no jagged leftover material along the seem) so they work well & don't snag the yarn! The rainbow colors are adorable & functional, they make for quick and easy hook grabbing once you're used to which size is which color! Definitely recommend!
UPDATED: After my first review of 3 stars, seller reached out to make it right and replaced. Replacement arrived with all slots attached as expected.
The hooks seem fine however upon unzipping the case, several of the slots for the hooks were NOT attached to the case. This was before I even had the chance to remove a hook from a slot. This makes me question the durability of the case with any use, and I was really interested in having a case to stay somewhat organized. Because of the case I am rather bummed.
Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. I saw some reviews that said that the bag was stinky but, I have a very sensitive nose, I didn't notice anything. Compact, tight sleeves so the hooks stay in place, zip closure. I'm very happy!
Really nice hook assortment. Just retired and got back into crafting and this is a great way to re-tool and be ready for any project. Appear to be well made and case is very nice for keeping them together in one place.
Some of the thinner colored hooks are a little flimsy but the thicker ones don't seem to give at all and the steel hooks are good. You also get some unusual sizes that seem to fall between the usual US/EU measurements in the kits I typically see. All in all a great value!
