The features on this dryer are mind-blowing and the steam settings take drying clothes to the next level. No more wrinkles and you don't have to be around to remove them immediately. We paired this with the Kenmore washer and by ordering through Amazon they were delivered and installed in two days! This dryer is HUGE and can easily dry a full load from our washer and pedestal washer, which saves a ton of time. No more cramped comforters that never get dry. We just setup the smart feature and I love that I can be upstairs and get a notification that the laundry is done, without having to set a timer.
This is a great dryer and the automatic modes work well. When we first got it, we found that the Check Vent light illuminated every time we tried to dry some clothes or towels. Also the dryer would quit the cycle early even on timed dry. We called some local service people to come and clean our dryer vent, and they found it was nearly totally blocked. After the cleaning, the dryer has performed beautifully, and the clothes are dry when the cycle ends. All in all, the dryer's warning about a clogged vent probably saved us some real headaches or possibly even a catastrophic dryer vent fire, so we are quite pleased with the outcome. We recommend this dryer highly.
I’ve only had this dryer with the matching washer for a day but so far they work great....much better than my old GE set...the washer died after nine years. They seem very nice. Amazon’s delivery people did a great job installing them and hauling my old machines away. They even brought brand new water and drain hoses as well as the vent hose and gas line for the dryer. Everything was included in the price of the machines which was already comparable or cheaper than similar machines at brick and mortar stores I shopped. I like Kenmore and know them from Sears and have some other Kenmore appliances, but I was a little apprehensive about ordering online without seeing the machines in person. I shouldn’t have been. I did have a couple questions about the machines and surprisingly, Sears’s online chat was very good and answered all my questions quickly and accurately.
The 4-star rating I have given is for the dryer. The delivery experience is another matter entirely.
The dryer works easily and dries well. My review is based on the $709.99 I paid via Amazon and not the price I see being asked today. The only reason I'm giving it only 4 stars is that it does not completely dry large items. A queen-sized comforter and a full-sized mattress cover both required additional drying by being hung on the staircase.
The delivery experience, however, was a nightmare involving 5 visits, each requiring time off work. The first trip, the installers claimed the gas valve was a different size than the fixtures on this dryer (although it worked well on the previous dryer). On the 2nd trip, the installer from the same company hooked it up no problem; I was all smiles until I did some laundry that night and realized the clothes weren't getting warm. The 3rd trip by the same company (and 1 week later), the installer said the gas valve was working correctly and the dryer was defective. I called Amazon again and they sent Kenmore out. (4th trip).Kenmore showed me that the igniter switch on the dryer was working correctly and said the problem was that the gas valve was broken and needed to be replaced. So, I called a plumber to replace the gas valve (5th trip). The plumber said there was nothing wrong with the valve, the installers hadn't turned on the gas all the way. I went ahead and had a new valve put on so the plumber could make some money ($167.00). Anyway, the dryer STILL wouldn't work. The plumber felt sorry for me and investigated, finding two connections inside the dryer which had not been connected. He connected them and the dryer now works perfectly. So, the problems were 1) The installers didn't turn on the gas all the way, and 2) The Kenmore repairman didn't notice the connections were unplugged, although this was a highly visible thing. Two weeks and 5 trips later, I now have a working dryer.
I really, really, like the dryer! Did I mention that I really like the dryer? So the smart feature is cool. From the Kenmore app I'm able to see how much time remains on a load and even turn the dryer off and change other settings (which I did when my sister was visiting and scared the crap out of her). This dryer has a setting for every load type and size imaginable. You can use the good old timed dry and set it yourself as well. There's also a steam refresh setting that I've used on gently worn denim a few times and it's worked great. This dryer does everything except fold the clothes, hopefully that'll be a feature on the next one.

Our old dryer had been going out for the past couple months, so we were checking all the local big box and appliance stores for a good deal on a gas dryer. Labor Day sales came and the dryers we were looking at only dropped in price by a few bucks. During this time I never once thought to look on Amazon for a dryer, even though we do much of our shopping here. But finally I looked. To my surprise, not only did Amazon have a better deal than any of the other retailers we checked, but they included free delivery, installation, and parts. All things I would have paid extra for at other stores. I ended up saving over $100. We are very happy with the dryer, it is quiet, dries quickly, and has all the features we need for a good name-brand basic dryer. So glad we found this! Highly recommend. There's a reason Amazon is killing it in every category. Looks like appliances are next!
Just got the dryer and it is working well. It’s a bit early to comment on longevity, but the delivery service and installation went very smoothly and the two gentlemen performing the delivery and installation were extremely professional, helpful and courteous.
Love my new dryer. Have had it a couple of months now. Dries much quicker, larger loads, quiet. the display is easy to use. My last washer/dryer combo (kenmore) lasted 25 yrs! Buying through Amazon was easy. The installer called the next day and we had the new washer/dryer installed within 3 days of order! The install and haul away worked great. We had already removed the door to the laundry room and moved the old appliances because we wanted to clean up the area really well, so install and removal only took the guys about 30 mins.
So far the dryer works as it should, but the kenmore smart app sucks rocks through a garden hose. Bad, like fails, so what's the point of "smart" when it is clearly not? But I have hope that the app will get better. I was a little disappointed that the steam refresh didn't take any wrinkles out of a polyester shirt. Other than that, it seems to work just fine.
FOLLOWUP: I did have more luck with the steam cycle on a few shirts later. I wonder if the water line wasn't fully primed the first time or something like that. But happier with that now.
And, the app "works" - but the remote control for starting the dryer is only good if you have loaded it and set the button on the front to allow remote control (the Smart button, I think). I haven't tried that yet, but then I don't usually leave wet clothes in the dryer if I ca help it. Maybe to delay it to run until you do something else (put the baby down? get ready to leave? someone wakes up?) and then you start it might be okay. I haven't tried "Alexa, start dryer" yet because of the need to load and press start button first. I'm not that good... :/

I'm very impressed with this dryer. I bought this dryer sight unseen, and I'm very happy with the purchase. Our clothes dry evenly without being scorched. Our bedding fits well and dries without problems.
Delivery was 5+ stars. They were on time, very professional, really kind and they took away the old dryer and packaging.
