Well, being that this product only had approximately 11 reviews when I bought it, I was a little reluctant to purchase it. I'm so glad that I did, this little numbet has been phenomenal so far! Besides the little quirks that all of these ice machines seem to have, this one is my favorite! This machine is very quiet! The ice coming down, is not nearly as noisy as my previous "name brand" machines. I used to have to sleep with my bedroom door shut, now I don't have to and barely hear the ice drop. Like any machine, sometimes the ice builds up, stopping the sensor, therefore saying the machine is full, when it's not. Again, this is such a minor defect!! It's at least halfway full at this time. I am constantly refilling my glass, therefore I always make sure to scoop the ice away from the sensor, to avoid the occurence. This only happens when you don't scoop the ice for several hours. This machine is my saving grace! I love it!
I like cold beverages. I don't have an ice maker in my refrigerator. This bridges the gap well. There are only a few down sides. You have to find counter real estate for it. The ice melts pretty fast in a normal cup. Lastly, if you want to freeze the ice, they all stick together because when the ice comes out, it is wet. If you want to freeze it, you have to shake it in the freezer every so often, so they don't freeze together. Other than that, I am still satisfied with it. I would buy it again.
Great ice maker. I thought it would be something like an ice chest, but it is not. Neither do you need a scoop; even though it comes with a scoop. I put three bottles of water in to create a good portion of ice that lasts me and my two adult sons approximately a week. But we use ice maybe once a day twice at most. After I make the ice I turn it off and let it set until the next time I make ice. This ice unit takes more time at the beginning to make ice and at first the ice is thin and useless. But good things come to those who wait. The ice won't stay cold in this unit, so I stay close by, empty my ice into a container and place in the freezer. When the next eight pieces are done, I pop the container to loosen the ice from sticking to each other and then I add my fresh ice. The fresh ice is a bit wet so therefore I go though this process. It does make fast ice. I am happy with my purchase.
So I don't have an ice-maker fridge and I'm too lazy to keep ice trays fresh in the freezer so this works good for me on the weekends where I fill it with water in the morning and let it do its thing making ice for when I would need it throughout the day. There is an electric-eye beam that senses when the ice is full and shuts down the machine. If you do nothing the ice eventually melts back into the bucket and the machine starts up again making more ice for another cycle. Pretty cool to see it in action.
It takes about an hour to fill up the basket that is enough for about 2 ice tea glasses - we are not talking about making ice here to fill a cooler.
And it's not really ice cubes, more like ice finger tips, but it works good enough for me.
I've only had it for a month so no comment on it's longevity or cleaning troubles from me yet.
This is a very cool machine. It makes ice quicker and better than my freeze does.

I love our new ice maker. It does take a while to accumulate enough ice to feel stocked up. However, in a days time I can make 3 bags of ice. If I start at the beginning of the day and keep up with it. It doesn't beep or male a sound. So, you have to time it when it gets a full basket or when the water runs out. It may seem inconvenient to some but, my family cannot seem to keep up with ice cube trays in my home. So, this makes our lives easier.
I've been using my new ice maker for the last 24 hours, and I'm very impressed. It's great for an individual who rents a room and has no refrigerator or freezer and needs ice and doesn't want to keep spending money for bags of it. I wouldn't recommend this for parties however, as it doesn't make the ice fast enough for such. But for individual use it's exceptional! It makes enough ice in an hour to fill a pint sized cup (I use the large setting) and makes about four batches of ice for about a 2 liter fill of water.
It works well, but you have to ensure to move the ice out of it and put it on the refrigerator otherwise the ice melts fast.
So You can turn it on leave for a few hours and have ice when you get back, instead you will find it still running because the ice have melt.
This machine is a very good and dependable ice maker. It constantly and steadily makes good cubes and you can turn it on and off as needed. It is easy to add water to the existing reservoir and the ice bucket comes in and out easily. Good setup and size. Ice is made speedily and in minutes there are cubes ready for use.
I really like this ice maker. It makes ice very quickly. The only drawback is, it is quite loud.
