Perfect for my needs! I am older and am arranging for 1 floor living. It is compact and operates quietly! Love it!
i've never loved an appliance so much!!!! it's absolutely the best thing since sliced bread.lol. had read some other peoples reviews and the one person with the dryer problem is nuts. everything is fantastic and i would recommend this to everyone out there. can't thank GE enough for making such a wonderful machine.
I lived in an apartment complex with "energy-efficient" front-loading washers and dryers. The washers were okay, but never could hold more than a "medium" load. If I tried to fit a larger load into them, the clothes would come out still dirty.
However, we just got a new townhouse that came with this model. Not only did it take up an extremely small amount of space, but the different selections I could choose made me happy (i.e., Fabric softner? Auto-sensing water level?) So I started to load up my first load and, after puting in quite a few things, what would've filled our old washers, it was only half way!!!
Basically, I was able to do two loads in one. By the time I filled the washer to the "load" mark, I had loaded what would've been two loads in the energy-efficient washers. And everything came out CLEAN!!!
We did wind up splitting the load of laundry into two dryer loads, just to see how long they would take. The lint trap works great, soooo many settings on the dryer, and it's pretty quiet.
The only downside would be that the washer is slightly loud, but that could also be the way the laundry room is set up, it seemed to echo.
I would def recommend this unit. I really enjoy doing laundry now because of it!!!!
