Our old 3-door fridge (only 11 yrs old!) had its filtered water source on the outside and ice maker up top inside the fridge, which took up so much space we never had enough shelf space for our food and beverages. When it died over a 3-day holiday and repair estimates were about $800 plus a long wait to get parts, we decided to buy new. Appliance repair people recommended we get one with the ice maker at the bottom and filtered water access inside the door. This design, they said, was less likely to create "problems." It also gives you more space for your goods. They were right. We've fit everything in very neatly plus the see-through glass shelves allow us to see clearly the contents of the drawers. We've only had it a day but so far it's been great, and not nearly as costly as we feared a replacement might be.
We did not buy this through Amazon but at Nebraska Furniture Mart, which promised delivery in 24 hours and delivered!
