The first oven I received had a door that was misaligned and allowed heat to escape. I called Fagor customer service and they sent a new oven and had it installed. They really back up their products! The new oven cooks beautifully. I couldn't be more pleased.
Came packed in the company box, no extra protection. The box corner was squished, the door hinge was twisted; we fixed it. The oven has screw holes in the front flange, with plastic washers. We planned to put this in our handmade oven cabinet, made to fit this Fagor oven. We had to add a metal flange support large enough to hold the screws, but with enough room to insert the oven. The screw hole locations did not extend to the wood cabinet face. My husband is a cabinet maker, carpenter, metal worker, so he fixed the problems, but we are wondering if any other people had to do what we did. And, the oven door closes with a simple catch, very difficult to pull open and shut. We plan to smooth the surface of the door catch to see if that improves the hard open and close. Otherwise, this oven is located with the bottom at countertop height. We did that for me, with arthritis. I have always wanted a wall oven, I have never used convection cooking before. Now I have it, and it is wonderful. I have made roasts, cakes, cookies, and pizza. All done to perfection.
Works as desgned. Perfect size for a a
small place. Hears up fast and very even baking.
