This is a great product, replacement baskets are not necessary as you can twirl a cotton swab in the bottom of the dirty basket and 99% of the hair come out. You can then clean the basket with a toothbrush. I did buy replacement baskets and will replace the basket every once in a while. There is a rubber washer on the drain strain that gets moldy so I would like to see these washers come with the replacement baskets.
Love the Drain Strain... it's really helped keep my bathroom drain, clean and clear. All it takes is to clean out the strainer basket whenever it clogs up. A basket lasts a long time but eventually, it needs to be replaced. With these replacement baskets, the process is fast and easy. I'd much rather use the drain strain then try and snake out my sink, which never worked... or use a plunger, which always made things worse and then required a plumber to come in and do it right. Since buying the Drain Strain, haven't needed a snake, plunger or plumber.
Really good product. But they catch the dirt so well that they get clogged up pretty quickly. To try to clean one is difficult and the only real option is to replace it. But does prove that it works really well. Ever since I started using it I haven't had to use Draino, or snake my pipes.
These are fantastic for when the baskets get too hard to clean out. Its really a fair price for not having to clean out the trap in the bathroom sink all the time. These arent too bad to clean out. I will take them outside and hose them out about once a month and seem to get about 6-8 months per basket before they become too hard to clean out.
These work just like they are supposed to, but I do agree with the other reviewer that said you have to replace these often. I've gone about 2 or 3 months before replacing them just because I'm cheap and lazy lol, but realistically I'd say they need to be replaced at least once a month if not every 2 weeks

I bought Drain Strain with replacement baskets about a year ago. I love this product. They are easy and convenient to use and I no longer need to use drano regularly to unclog my sink. I just replace these every 1-2 months. Will continue to use these.
