Danby DWC114BLSDD Designer 38-Bottle Dual-Zone Wine Cooler, Black/Stainless Steel/Glass Beverage Center,

After reading all of the reviews I was a bit concerned about the noise level of this product. Now that I have been using it for a month or so I am happy to say that it isn't very noisy at all. I have it sitting in my dining area which is part of my living area that I watch TV.
The noise level is hardly noticeable. The unit itself is sturdy (90+ lbs.). Temperature adjustment is easy enough. Since I have a lonely bottle of wine in it I am looking forward to filling it with the batch of dewberry wine my son and will soon be bottling......

I have seen a few reviews about this unit being noisy but I have not found that to be the case AT ALL, in fact quite the opposite, very quiet. I like the fact that so many bottles can be fit into the unit but it can be a challenge with bottles that have a non-traditional shape. Fortunately, 2 of the areas are a little larger to account for this. The direction of the bottles have to be alternated to maximize the space but if you keep your varietals grouped together the inconvenience is minimal even if you can't see the label unless you pull the drawer all the way out. Great value, had it for over 6 months now.

Love the dual controls and it was well packaged for shipping. No damage.

Excellent.

Like it very much

After a lot of research, I purchased this product and am completely satisfied. My advice: pay a little more for better quality. It pays in the end.

We purchased this cooler a couple days ago at our local Sam's Club, paid $299 plus tax. We have researched it on the the various websites including Amazon, Best Buy, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Cooler Direct, etc. Some of the complaints were: noise, size and sturdiness, so I will address all three here.

Noise: it's not noisy at all. I actually had to hold my ear directly to it to hear some faint sound. When you open the door, you can hear it more, but still it's not loud.

Size: It can nicely fit 30 regular 750 ml bottles, 5 per shelf. You can also alternate direction of the bottles, this way you can fit 6 regular bottles per shelf. With alternating directions of the Riesling type bottles, you can fit 7 bottles per shelf (I played some different scenarios, too much free time lol). The bottom shelf will not fit long bottles (Riesling type), only regular size, and you can't alternate directions. The top shelf is a little bigger than the rest, it can fit 4-5 Champagne or 1.5 liter wine bottles. So here is the bottom line on the max capacity: you can fit 35 Riesling bottles plus 5 regular bottles on the bottom shelf for the total of 40 bottles, that is if you are REALLY into Riesling. Or if you are storing only regular size wine bottles, you can fit 35 of them (5 shelves of 6 bottles, and 5 bottles in the bottom).

Sturdiness: the cabinet itself looks and feels nice and sturdy, the shelves feel a little flimsy, but they do the job.

Overall it's a great little cooler, especially for the price I paid. I recommend before buying it online, check your local wholesale clubs (Sam's, BJ's, Costco). It's a seasonal item, usually sold in the spring/early summer.

This is a great wine cooler! I have had mine for a few months now. It looks great, the LED lights are lovely and the slide-out wood shelves are a great feature. It's very sturdy and the dual zone temperature control works great! I wouldn't pay over $400 though. Nebraska Furniture Mart has it for $379 so that's where I ordered it from and I'm very happy.

After much research we decided on this product. We had a few issues with the shipment of the product however Danby went above and beyond to guarantee our satisfaction. The unit is quiet and fits great in our kitchen. I would recommend. Fits our Pinot bottles nicely.
